when you will be traveling with children ages 9 and 7 and 1 adult. I won't have a rental car so we will be at the mercy of ME and the buses. We will likely do the QSDP because it will help me since we will stay in a studio. I have priced out the point cost for the time we are going. We have enough points to stay anywhere on property. Thank you for your input.

If it matters we will be traveling the middle of March.

What resort do you like the best. If you have AP's or intend to go to a park each day, there are plenty of counter service places in the parks and so the resort you're staying at isn't as important, at least that's my opinion. Also, we like Wolfgang Puck Express as a counter service in DTD.

I like Roaring Fork the best of all of the counter service places at DVC resorts, but I've not experienced the counter service at SSR and people seem to like that as well. The other cs places at DVC resorts that I like are the Mara and Beach Club Marketplace. The Beach club also has Hurricane Hannah's for other cs options.

My spring break is in March and I've never had a March stay with consistent nice, swimming weather, maybe it's just my bad luck, but that's been the case including this year. So, I don't pick my spring break trip based on pools, I base it on resorts that have lower price room options. BWV is one of my choices for next year, and I have a value studio for the other 1/2 of the stay.

Have fun planning and have a great trip!

Well, I haven't decided on what we want to do. We do have APs so we don't have to worry about tickets. Transportation and food is what I have to figure out.

So far the children are wanting to stay at the Beach Club. I don't know that it will be warm enough to swim but they don't care about temperatures like we would. I suppose there are some good counter service options in the WS and the Land that we could walk over to. This will be an adventure of sorts for us. We always drive but I can't (won't) make a 20 hour drive by myself. I have never traveled with the children by myself either. This trip has so many possibilities. Goofydad was laughing at me because he understands I can't go for 18 months without visiting...........I suppose that is why I :lovestruc him so much.

When is your Spring Break? I am a teacher so it is hard for me to go anywhere unless the school is on break.

Since you have enough points pick someplace you haven't been to before and want to try out. Check out the theming. The kids would probably like AKV. All the resorts have something interesting. The VWL have the lake and bike trails which would be fun.
Have you asked the kids where they want to stay?

My kids are very close in age to yours and they absolutely loved AKL. The great thing about AKL is that even if you have a rain day or just need a break there are sooooo many activities for them . We still feel like we missed out on a lot of things because we did not have the time to spend just exploring the resort. The buses were not bad but with the addition of Kidani I am not sure how bad the impact will be at that time of year.

We had a great experience with the buses at Kidani this month. It was a nice place to stay. We give a big :thumbsup2 to the community hall in Kidani.

My spring breaks are usually around the 19th of March. Next year it begins on the 20th. DH isn't able to get the week off, so I'm going solo next year, or I may invite a friend to join me.

Well, I think Beach Club would be great for the pool and location, but not so great if you are wanting to do quick service dining for breakfast. Your only QS options are the Marketplace and Hurricane Hannah's which both have pretty limited menu choices (I don't think HH even has breakfast options.) If you can do breakfast in your villa, this might still work for you. Otherwise, I'd probably go for VWL or perhaps even BLT.
