What is the best length of stay at WDW?

My family would LOVE to stay for 2 weeks, and one year, we'll work it out so we can!! We are now in the same boat, as my son has just started school, and it will be harder on him to take him out for a Disney trip. Our stays are usually for 10days/9nights...Our thinking is that that gives us 2 days in each park, and 2 days for free choice (which usually are spent in MK). We take the earliest flights to get there, and the latest to leave, and the first and last days are ALWAYS been spent at MK!!! Enjoy your 2 week stay, and hopefully you will be able to take advantage if the free dining as the OP said, if offered!!! :wizard::woohoo:

We have a 9 year old, 3 1/2 year old and a 4 month old, and we do 2 weeks every year and love it so much more than going for 1 week =) We don't feel the need to rush, we have some downtime, more pooltime and it's great. Especially in August when it's really hot, being able to go at a slower pace is great. If you will have a vehicle, getting out of disney a few of those days is great too. If you like flea markets, you should check out websters also =) We go to websters every year, it's a nice break from disney.
