Hi everyone, we haven't been to DLP for 6/7 years. We have stayed at Dream Castle before.
We are planning to stay at the Disney Hotel but I wanted to know if it is REALLY worth it?
What are the benefits of staying there and are the rooms really that nice?
I have just read somewhere that the Disney Hotel has stopped their character breakfast
Which hotel is the best for a family with 3 children? 9yrs, 3yrs and 1yrs old.
Are there any hotels that have a separate sleeping area for the children and good facilities for the children?
Planning to go during the winter.
Many Thanks in advance for your help

I haven't stayed at Disney Hotel so I cant answer about that.

All character breakfast have been moved from all the onsite hotels, not just The Disneyland Hotel. The characters are now in the park during EMH. There was alot of abuse of the character breakfast, ie locals and general public coming into the hotels and meeting the characters for free so they stopped it about 6 months ago. It makes more sense now, to have them in the parks during EMH, so that only those with a park ticket can meet them.

As far as I know none of the onsite hotels have a separate sleeping area for children. Hotel Cheyanne have bunk beds , which might be an option for you.

Also staying onsite has perks which you don't get with the partner hotels
1. Shopping service - when you shop in the parks before 3pm you can get your shopping delivered to you hotel instead of carrying it around.
2. EMH - access to the parks early, meet the character, get great photos of the castle, limited amount of rides open but those that do open are often popular ones like Peter Pan and Buzz which have 60+ wait times during the day
3. Option to have breakfast in the park - depending on how busy the hotels are for breakfast sometimes they open one of the restaurants in Fantasyland

:thanks::flower3:Thank you so much for your reply, really kind of you.
I think I've got so much to learn and plan before our trip.

Do you mean a Disney hotel? Or the Disneyland Hotel?

We adore the DLH and will stay there every trip if possible. (Might not be once DD starts school....)

Worth the money to us. Makes the trip soooo magical.

There are characters at breakfast if you stay Castle Club. But it's not cheap!

Thank you for your reply, :thanks:
Magical is definitely the word that I was looking for :wizard: :yay:
I was looking at the 'FAMILY ROOM WITH TERRACE'' is this a good option? Or is there no need for a Terrace? Have you seen or stayed in the 'FAMILY ROOMS' before? :flower1:

Ive stayed in a King room with terrace. Which was much bigger than a standard room (also stayed in) so wonderin if it was the same size as the family rooms are.

Was lovely but it was March and we only went on the terrace once just so we'd done it!

We got a free upgrade I wouldn't pay for a terrace (well maybe I would in summer on a longer trip)

Standard rooms there are wonderful enough.
