We will be going to US on either Thursday or Friday 3/29-3/30.

This will be spring break and we know it will be busy. I am wondering what our game plan should be for the Harry Potter world. Do we get there as soon as it opens and head right there and get everything done first thing beofre the peak of the afternoon crowds??

We will have a one day park to park, so we can probably head over he the other park after the HP stuff.

How does everyone else manage Universal during spring break??

Thanks!

The best way to manage during Spring break is to stay onsite. Other than that, get there before opening and head straight to the Wizarding World. If it is packed, go do other things and come back in the evening.

if you go during spring break, stay on site.

it will be well worth it period

since your time is limited, this is about the only way to go, in order to take in both parks and potterville.
i can't imagine you being able to do potter and both parks in one day due to the crowds that spring break brings in.

you won't have to deal with long lines.
you can get the early entry for parry hotter being a hotel guest.

if you decide to stay off site, you need to go to www.universalorlando.com and look over what both parks have for rides, character greets, and shows/attractions.

then narrow it down to the 'can't miss' things.

Stay on site. Get front of the line. Period.

Like others have said, stay onsite! Checking in on 3/29 for one night will cost $289 if you have 2 adults. The price may go up if you have more people in your party by about $20 per extra adult I think is the normal increase.

The unlimited express is priceless during spring break. That hotel night not only gives you an amazing hotel to stay at, but you will also not have to wait in line for nearly all rides.

Also, that one night stay will give you TWO days of unlimited express on both the 29th and the 30th. So, if you can manage it time wise, I would suggest doing two days at the parks. Islands of Adventure has a lot of other amazing rides that you will want to ride besides HP. It would be almost impossible to do both parks in one day during spring break even with the express pass. If you don't have an express pass, you can totally forget about seeing everything at both parks. You would be lucky to see everything at one park!

If you do decide to do two days at the parks, then I suggest doing HP in the evening on the first day and then taking advantage of the early entry for hotel guests the 2nd day so you can experince HP in both the day and the night (my personal fav.).

If you already have the tickets to the park, you can easily upgrade them once you get to the park to a two day ticket.

Great advice, but our week is already booked for Port Orleans. We were just going to do Universal for one day becuase we went last trip and kind of know what we want to do. So really, maybe I should just hang back at the resort with the 2 year old and let my husband and 11 year old go to universal. Sounds like we wont even get near harry potter. Maybe not worth it for me to pay and then drag a 2 year old through crazy crowds......... I'll let hubby deal with the craziness.

To be honest- I really am not interested, Its more for him and my daughter. But thank you for the great advice!!
