What is the best flip flop/sandal for walking?

I love my Crocs. They are my Disney shoes. In fact, they are mine, my mom's and my dad's favorite shoes to wear in Disney. We always carry them!

What kind do you guys wear? I have a pair of Chaco Flip EcoTread and also a pair of Etesia EcoTread and both give me blisters under my big toe and on the ball of the foot.

OluKai Ohana and Cobian braided leather Bounce seem to work best for me for some reason. Nothing else even comes close, although I do like the Sketcher Toneups, Orthoheel Tides and Waves, Fit Flops, and Montrail Molokini. If I can find them I also like the Volatile Keralee (but don't care for any of the other Volatile flip flops, even though some look alot like the sole on the Keralee---they just fit tighter in the straps and the soles are not as comfortable for some reason). Volatile Keralees I can wear all day long though. I also recently bought some Flojo Exena's that I'm loving right now. They have a thick, soft, bumpy sole on them, that just cushion your feet.

My husband has regular Z1 chacos- same style as mine. The Z1 and Z2 were the first 2 styles of Chacos to be made and they are your basic sandal which is what I like. I had my first pair for years before my husband decided that if I would not wear Tevas he had to try Chacos too. He just ordered 2 new pair of Keen sandals as well, one water pair for Typhoon Lagoon.

I put in another vote for Teva Mush. One of my absolute favorite pair to wear in the parks. FloJo's is another one. Their Xena flip flop is like walking on a cloud.

Another great pair are Rocket Dog. Not the high soled flip flops, but the regular flat style. For my feet (because of my arch) they are so comfortable and light. Never had a blister with either Teva or Rocket Dog.

I find that mesh and/or cotton works best in between my toes, I can not wear flip flops that are plastic/rubber.

My favorite most comfortable pair of flip flops are a pair of North Face. The have a very squishy foot bed and I wore them the entire last trip I took to Disney. They were wonderful.

I wear Yellowboxes. I have for all the past WDW trips and have never had a problem.

Glad to hear from others with Plantar Fasciitis. My trip to WDW next month will be my first since my PF really started acting up (I just started seeing a podiatrist for it) and I'm nervous that I won't be able to walk all day the way I'm used to on a Disney trip. Looking for a new pair of sandals or flip-flops and have heard good things about Fit Flops for folks with PF...

Teva's or Reed's are really great for Disney. I have worn both brands for hours and my feet never hurt.

I own the Nike gel flip flops in almost every color they make. I love them for the parks, especially after running one of the Disney races. They feel so good. I got caught in a rainstorm in them in Epcot a week ago and I had no problem with them drying out. Much easier than my kids in their tennis shoes.

Teva Mush and Teva Mandalyn Wedge flip flops are very comfortable for all of the walking you will do. I wore mine (rotating 3 pairs) for 4 days in the parks with no issues! Sierra Trading Post online store usually has the best deals on a variety of flip flop brands mentioned in responses.

I just got back and also have feet issues, problems with my Achilles tendon, and PF. I took sneakers which did not help, but wore 99% of the time my skechers tone ups, just the amt of elevation for my heel, and wore them all day and night with very little foot fatigue or pain. Ask your poditrist what they would recommend, or go on line google sandals or flops for FP. Good Luck and have a great time

Since you have PF I would ask your Dr what kind of sandals or fliflops does he suggest. Also before you go to the parks and at night when you get back to hotel soak your feet in Epson salt and also Johnson foot soap but not together maybe in the morining soak with Johnson foot soap and at night Epson salt

I just ordered a pair of ortho heel tide flip flops as they were recommended to me for plantar faccitis. Have not received them yet but really hoping they give some relief! Order them from footsmart.com.

The last time I was at Disney I wore Yellow Box flip flops. You can get them at Hallmark stores. They are wonderful especially during the summer because they have thick foam soles that absorb the shock of the constant walking you do at Disney. HTH!(:

I like Teva Mush. They're very comfortable yet still look like a simple flip flop. Also, not a sandal but TOMS are super comfy and light. Great for the parks.

I'd highly recommend Chacos, just be certain that they are nice and broken in before your trip. My Chacos have taken me all across WDW and up/down several large mountain ranges. They also dry quite quickly if you happen to get them wet.

My husband has several screws in his right ankle leftover from a heel surgery gone wrong in high school, so his feet and ankles are typically quite sore after a day at WDW. He's found great success with Merrell walking shoes {vented, so they remain cool}.

Teva Mush or Reef flip flops. Those are all I wear with the Teva Mush coming in just ahead of the Reefs :) Good Luck!

I have a pair of fins, and yes they are really expensive, but well worth it. I managed to get mine online for 1/2 what the store wanted, so that's what I would recommend. I have really bad feet. They hurt all the time. But these I can wear shopping and they are still really comfortable. I've never been brave enough to tackle Disney with flip flops or sandals of any kind, but I would so love to wear them! Good luck OP.

I wear flip flops year round - I can't stand my feet getting hot. I have had no problem at all walking the parks for an entire week wearing my Yellow Box flip flops. They are SO comfortable.

I do put both of my DDs in keens (I like these bc we can do with socks or without depending on the weather), but personally I think those look hideous on adults (sorry!!! Just my opinion).

I have Mickey Fitflops I bought at the disney store online before my last trip in 2010. Although I had packed other shoes, I ended up wearing these for the whole five days we walked the parks!
I am not sure if these are still sold in the parks... I love them!
I bought a pair of Mickey croc flip flops for our next trip in November. I also have had Plantar fascitis and I never thought I could do sandals in the parks.. but I have on both recent trips!
Hope this helps!
