Hi, just wondering if there is a favorite flip flop/sandal out there that people like to do the parks in? I'm looking for something that is comfy and can last the day. Sometimes socks and sneakers can be too hot all day in . Just looking for a good alternative. thanks !!

If money is no object, the finn comfort sandals are amazing. They are very expensive but last a really long time. I also like teva, but they don't make my favorite sandal anymore.

:) People also wear Keens and I wear Clarks.

I love Reef Flip Flops. They have gotten me through many WDW trips and 16 hours of walking around Washington DC without even the hint of a blister.

DH loves the Teva Toachi 2 sandals and I always wear Skechers Tone Ups (flip flops). So comfy I wear them daily on the treadmill!

I have to second the Reef flip flops. They are awesome. I'm sure that's what DH and I will be wearing while DD wears her Keene.

I have plantar fasciitis, so have to be careful which flip flops I wear. My favorites are OluKai Ohana (warning though they do have fairly high arches). I also like the Cobian braided Bounce, Sketcher Tone Up Glam Punks (don't care for the other Tone ups though--too tight on top of foot), Orthoheel Tides and Waves, Fit Flops, and Montrail Molokinis. I got a pair of Cobian Braided Bounce a few days ago, took them out of the box the next morning, and walked my dog two miles and they were wonderful--didn't bother between my toes and felt like heaven on the soles of my feet. They do run a size small though.

I used to swear by Teva Mush (the Originals not the new Teva Mush 2's), Yellow Box, Reefs, Nike Celso, and Yoga Mats, but can't wear those much anymore with my PF.

Have you tried chacos? They're my go to "easy" shoes... and I'm a shoe girl :)

They might be expensive, but they last forever. They'll even resole them for you, so they're essentially lifetime shoes.

They're sort of like Tevas, except Chacos go around your big toe as well. This makes them stay on your feet really well - I have played frisbee in them, running around, they're great. Super comfy. I also have high arches, and they offer a lot more support than do most flip flops. Look at the zongs or Z1/Z2 models, as they have the big toe wrap feature. You can also find them on sale at camp stores, etc.

This way you won't have to remove your shoes (as if you were wearing flip flops) on rides, which is nice. They can get wet and dry off quickly.

Good luck!

I have PF as well. I can't wear Tone ups at all b/c they change my gait, and it causes flare ups. When I wore the tone ups it went up into my ankle. It was on referral from tons of Disers with PF who said they were fantastic. What a waste of money and time with all the doctor's visits I had! I can't wear the Sanuk yoga mats or the Teva Mush either, so that bums me out. The only flip flop I do well with is Crocs Capris. They are amazing. I can wear them all over Disney with no issues.

I think I am going to try the Cobians if you say they work. I hope they do! I also bought the Sanuks on the referral from Disers, and they hurt my ankles! Argh. Ok, the Cobians look good, so I hope they work for me. Thanx for the info.

For my Disney trips nothing beats my Birkenstock sandals with Minnie and Mickey Mouse! Very comfortable and too cute!

I did some reasearch online and after reading reviews about ecco sandals bought a pair. I'm not really a sandal type guy, but I loved them! They were great even when wet. If you want sandals I would definitely recommend them.

I absolutely swear by Reefs in the parks. I usually have about three different pairs to rotate when I'm there, but they are all super comfy!!:thumbsup2

Check out Oofos ... the most comfortable flip flop I have ever had. I have PF also and I can walk in these all day. Haven't tried them for walking the Parks but I am sure they will be great....checking that out in 5 days!! :cool1: They are a tad pricey but well worth it!

I enjoy Tevas - affordable and comfortable. But I recommend breaking them in before leaving - my new ones didn't give me blisters last year, but they did rub the top of my foot and made it uncomfortable for a while. I'm planning on buying another pair soon and breaking them in before our October trip.
