What is the Belle Vue Room at Boardwalk?

Yes are they on the dining plan? Do they have breakfasts that count as quick service breakfasts or just snack options? Can you get coffee in your refillable mug?

Also wondering if they offer gluten free options?

We stayed at BWI in May and needed gluten free meals for my DH. The only thing offered in the Bellevue lounge for a gluten free breakfast was a pre-packed fresh fruit cup or whole fruit, bananas, etc. At the Boardwalk Bakery, they offered frozen gluten free muffins that they heated up in the microwave...not so good. We made a trip to BabyCakes Gluten free bakery in Downtown Disney and got several days worth of breakfast treats to store in our room. We would get our coffee in the Bellevue Lounge and bring it outside on the Boardwalk to have with our BabyCakes treats every day.

We also brought a box of gluten free cereal with us to have in the room before or after coffee.

We found that the Boardwalk Bakery could make any sandwich offered on gluten free bread. The chef from Kouzzina would come out to talk with us, then would go back and hand make the sandwich. We had several great gluten free turkey sandwiches for lunch!

WOW this was started a long time ago! That said. We love the Belle Vue for quiet drinks in the evening. Never been for breakfast. I do know they will refill mugs. They also take TIW. The bartenders Tim and Allen are the best!!!

I was just at the Belle Vue Lounge this evening doing some work and echo what everyone else said. The bar opens at 5 til midnight but the room is open all night. They play radio shows and music from the 40's. Frankly, I can't think of a better place to unwind/work at WDW, it's one of my favorite. Alan, the bartender is phenomenal. They also have non-Nescafe coffee in urns (for refillable mugs) at the end of the bar and will fill up refillable mugs with soft drinks.

domco: do you happen to know the brand of gluten free bread available at the Boardwalk Bakery? DD is "selective" aka picky and prefers Udi's. DH and I were just discussing how our upcoming stay at BWV might be tricky when we need quick GF options for our DD (age 6) since there is not a traditional CS/food court type option with a grill at the resort or nearby. Thanks in advance!

I do not know the brand of gf bread at the Bakery, but we eat Udi's at home and my DH is a "selective" eater as well, and he thought the sandwich bread was better than what we have at home. It was larger slices and not dry.

We did hear at some of the restaurants that they have changed to Udi's brand, and were served dinner rolls that were not as good as the former tapioca rolls they used to serve.

We had the best gf cheeseburgers and gf french fries (dedicated fryer) at Hurricane Hannah's at the Beach Club (outside by pool). Tasted as good as regular burgers we used to have at Beaches and Cream.

It has been a little trickier now to eat at Disney, but we try to know in advance where we can stop for a quick gf option.
