What is the average number of point owned by each member?

I guess all we need to know in order to answer this question is, the total number of points sold, and the number of members.

# of points divided by the # of members= answer.

This will help me decide whether or not to buy more points!

Would not a better means to determine if you need to buy more points be derived the conclusion from assessing how many points you have now vs. how many points you need to stay when/where/how long and in what size room??????

There are some people who own 1,000 points and plan to spend their winters at WDW when they retire, while there are others who own 50 points but creatively plan their vacations (off-season, avoiding weekends, etc.). We have 200 points, which would be a lot for some people, but gets used up quickly for us since we have to get 2-bedroom rooms.

Having said that, though, it does seem like a lot of people have in the 150 to 250 point range, just from what I've seen on other threads like this. That seems to be enough to get them something nice every year.

That out to hold me 12-15 years until I sell my DVC. Man what will my MF be on those in 15 years?????? Just kidding, I've done the math. As soon as the papers are signed I'll do my 1000 point dance here on the Dis.

That's us - 600 points and all 12/06 are used. It is addicting!

We have 225 and it's not enough. We are working on getting 75 more. Will that be enough, one only knows. We want at least 2, 10 day vacations a year, any time of the year. We'll have to see.

We've only been DVC members for a little over a year. We bought 150 to begin with and then added another 25 while we were people watching at EPCOT this past March! Who knows what will happen when we visit in October

We're at 500 and for now it seems to be enough. We never got out of borrowing mode until we upped from 230 to 500. Now we are finally actually using points in the same use year. Not that borrowing was a bad thing - didn't bother us one bit to be a year behind until we wanted to take a trip and didn't even have enough borrowed points available. Had to take the trip during our use year turnover and called MS from OKW to add days to our vacation. We had two days worth of borrowed points available, and went on faith with the rest. What would we have done if the room had not been available? Would have been bad, especially since we had another family sharing our 2 br with us those 10 days! They didn't know we didn't have the room for the entire trip until a few days in after I had confirmed the rest of the trip. WHEW!!! The day after we got home we added on 280 more points!

We have 690 Boardwalk points. Originally wanted enough to stay in a two bedroom villa during premier seasons but now that we can use points at FW campground we will be staying there and go on Disney Cruisers more often. We would still like to add 60 more points to make it an even 750. Over the next couple of years we plan on FW stays and have family members meet us there and we will put them in the cabins or a camp site, their choice.
