For some reason this posted twice, I wasn't able to delete it so pardon the mistake.

DH is going through major WDW withdrawl and is trying to talk me into a trip at the end of May....he doesn't think he can wait until our next scheduled trip in September! So here is the question....what is the youngest age you would consider taking an infant to WDW? Baby #3 is due March 8th so he/she will be 2 1/2 months old.....we are Disney regulars (this would be our 7th trip in just over two years), so we know the ins and outs, how to get around, what to expect, etc....we've just never taken an infant before! If I let him talk me in to this, we will take a Baby Bjorn carrier and a Baby Trend sit/stand double stroller that accommodates an infant car seat....also, I won't be nursing, so finding a place to feed the baby won't be a problem.....am I crazy or should we just do it???

We took our 3 month old daughter down for over a week and it was fine.
The trip was planned before I knew I was prego.. we frantically counted off nine months when we found out and sighed a sigh of relief.. we could still go to Disney!

WE had a baby backpack/ carrier and the stroller. It was great for our 6 year old son because on rides we baby swapped on he got to ride twice.

Bring water to feed baby to keep from dehydrating in the heat.
Breast feeding shouldn't be a problem, all parks have child care centers.

We also had my friends an my sister and her family with us and so we had soemone to watch my daughter so we could ride soem "big rides" together. But even if we hadn't ti still would have been a geat trip.

WE also took my son down for his first trip the day after CHristmas...
Didnd't do a single ride, just shopped and watched the parades and shows... very relaxing trip! We loved the Christmas decorations...

The hardest thing we encountered was when we had dinner. WE went to several hotel restaurants and would have to bring her in her stroller... they don't have infant high chairs.
But most of the time she was sleeping because I would feed her first then we would go to dinner.

Just try and plan dinners around your fedding schedule - harder to be flexible if you are breast feeding..

Have a great time.. take lots of pictures....

I would plan something, but be willing to wait until fall if it doesn't work out. You may be real tired from not sleeping, also. And a baby who is waking up to be fed will wake up everyone in the room. If it were me, I'd wait. I wouldn't want to be so far from home with that young of an infant. I would plan for the fall when the weather is a little cooler (maybe November). A baby that young can't use sunscreen and the sun is very hot down here! If you wait, you will have that much longer to plan and save.....

Our newest granddaughter was 9 weeks old for her first trip last summer. It was a major two-family reunion, so Grandmother had lots of quality time with the baby, while I had time for the older grandchildren on the Rock and Roll Roller Coaster. The baby took everything in stride, and no after trip problems.

Well, a baby cannot wear sunscreen under the age of 6 months (even those designed for babies) or perhaps even a year (Check with your doctor, and the label on the sunscreen), and sunscreen is highly recommended in the hot summer Florida sun...so I would have to go with the sunscreen factor...unless you only want to go to the parks when it is cloudy (still chance of getting burned down there), rainy, or at night. Even with the shade down on the stoller, there is a high risk of burning baby's delicate skin with the reflection off of the concrete. If you do decide to go, be very careful to also keep the baby very well hydrated. They can dehydrate before you even realize it, and you will be spending time touring Florida Hospital at Celebration. Not a fun way to spend your vacation.

JMHO:)
