Spectro is an amazing nighttime parade of floats that are all lit up with lightbulbs and state of the art music and timing. It is truly magnificent. Have you ever heard of or seen the Electric Light Parade that used to be at WDW and is now at DL? It is a cousin to that parade.

Many characters are featured including some from Fantasia (the dancing ostriches are my favorite!) and there is a float with Little Mermaid and friends just to name a couple.

The link above has pictures and information. Spectro is usually before Wishes, but on nights where there are two showings, there will be one parade BEFORE wishes and one a couple of hours later.

Spectro is not to be missed.

I just went to the link you gave me and it said this

Generally it is only run during the busiest times of the year when the Magic Kingdom is open late.

We will be in Disney May 10, Monday to 14 which is Thursday, I bet they won't be doing the parade then.

I would not worry yet MeganBear - even in the slow times, they still run the Parade 1-2X per week. Usually it's on Tues & Saturdays - but not always. When they post the "official" hours on the disneyworld.com site, then they will also put up when Spectro is ran. It is a 5-Star, Do-Not-Miss Attraction - and it will probably be ran at least once during your stay!

I have been twice in May during the time you listed. . this is not a "slow" time. You will definitely get to see the parade!

I'll add my emphasis, too.... DO NOT MISS SPECTROMAGIC. We saw it for the first time last year, and it brought this big tough guy to tears.

It's what bought tears to my eyes. It was how I clearly remember Disney. Standing at the top of Cinderella's Castle with a perfect view of a perfect "parade." Spectro Magic is absolutely priceless, beautiful, and many other adjectives to describe something so...... Perfect!!!!!

Its another word for "extremely crowded" but the latin translation means "sit at curb early" we still have not seen it

It's one of our all-time favorites - don't miss it! Whenever we think of Spectro, we all smile and remember some of the best times of our lives. Thinking of it and the song put us right back on Main street. In fact just recently my (19yr old) son and I were trying to remember the words to the song - and had a great time recalling past trips:

On this Magic Night
A million stars will play beside us
Cast a spell of light
Glimmering, shimmering, carouseling
Round the world tonight
A symphony in spectromagic

It sounds wonderful!!!! I hope the kids aren't too beat to see this! I was SO excited to see Fantasmic in MGM, now I'm even more excited to see Spectro!!!
