What is Soap opera weekend like?

We are going next November, and didn't know soap opera weekend was going on. My mother will be with us and she loves those soaps. But we also have 4 kids. 2,5,7and9. Is MGM extremely crowded that day, I know around the activites it will be but what about the rest of the park? Will we be able to do all the rides and attractions without huge wait times. We'll also have the fantasmic dinner package, so we'll have to get everything done before 5 or so. Does this sound like a good idea, we don't HAVE to go to MGM this day i just figured mom would enjoy it. But if it will be too crowded nobody would ejoy it.

It was a few years back, but we ended up there on Soap Opera weekend once (didn't realize it until we were riding the shuttle and found out eveyone else on the shuttle was there for the soap opera weekend). The biggest problem for us was staying offsite (DTD) the buses were horrible. After that, my mom and I agreed to never stay offsite again. MGM was pretty busy on the 1 day, but overall, the parks were fine.

So maybe as long as I schedule MGM for a day other than sat. or sun. we'll miss crowds.

Ohhh, I'm jealous!! I would love to go for Soap Weekend. I've been watching AMC since I was around 11 or maybe even younger. Camron Mathison is soooo HOT!!!!!!!
