When we went in April we were able to take pictures and interact/give hugs. We were there the day of the change. I just have to say, it was one of the most magical experiences ever at Disney. The hugs just felt so long and so deep when they were back again. One of the "handlers" (is that what they are called?) said that Mickey had been waiting a long long time to hug again.
