What is included in a 7 day stay at Kidani Village?

We have stayed at Kidani for a few days in the past but will be staying for a full week with a DVC reservation this fall. I know the room will only be cleaned once mid-week. Will there be shampoo/soap to start with and replenished on the cleaning day or will I want to bring all my own soaps/etc? I am also wondering about dish soap, dishwasher detergent, hand soap at the sink, coffee filters, and things like that-is any of it provided? Thanks for any information-it will be a huge help for me to avoid packing things that aren't necessary!

For stays less than 8 days you get Trash & Towel on the 4th day, not a complete room cleaning.

Laundry and Housekeeping Services

Disney Vacation Club Resorts offer laundry and housekeeping services. Daily housekeeping service is not provided for Members.

This Resort hotel offers a 24-hour self-service laundry room. There are also dry-cleaning and valet laundry services. Villas with one or more bedrooms also feature in-unit washers and dryers.

Trash & Towel Service

For stays of 7 or less nights, Trash & Towel Service is provided on day 4, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, vacation points or a combination of both.

With Trash & Towel service, Housekeeping will:

Empty trash and replace liners in trash bins.
Provide fresh bathroom linens.
Replace bath amenities as needed.
Replenish facial tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
Replenish coffee, sugar, cream and sweeteners.

Full Cleaning Service

For stays of 8 or more nights, Full-Cleaning Service is provided on day 4 and Trash & Towel Service is provided on day 8, regardless of whether you're using Member-discounted cash, vacation points or a combination of both. This process repeats for stays longer than 8 days.

With Full-Cleaning service, Housekeeping will provide everything included with the Trash & Towel Service, plus:

Change the bed linens.
Vacuum and dust the vacation villa.
Clean the bathroom(s).
Clean the kitchen/kitchenette and wash the dishes.
Rental Guests (non-Members or Disney Vacation Club Members not booking through Membership) receive Full Cleaning Services every day.

For all of the above, additional Housekeeping Services may be purchased.

Pay As You Play

Toiletries Package, $5 - 1 facial soap, 1 bath soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 shower gel
Coffee Package, $3 - 1 package of coffee, 8 sugars, 8 creamers, 8 artificial sweeteners
Towel Package, $6 - 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 washcloths, 1 bath mat
Laundry Detergent (only in 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom Vacation Homes), $1 - 1 box

You should be okay on basic dish soap (they provide a mini bottle but it is plenty for doing dishes for a week). You will want to bring laundry soap if you plan on using it.

You get a small bar of soap in the bathroom. If you want liquid soap, bring your own. They don't provide any coffee filters. Only one (maybe two) packets of filtered coffee (like a big tea bag). If you drink a lot of coffee, bring your own and bring filters. You need flat bottom style, 10-12 cups.

They will leave a single use box of Tide or All on the washer each service day. If you plan to do more than two loads the entire time, bring some laundry detergent. They don't provide fabric softener or sheets. Machines are not HE. You don't need to bring dish detergent or dishwasher detergent. They provide those and should bring more if you need them.

They don't provide salt, pepper, sugar, etc. No foil, no plastic bags, other than trash bags in the bottoms of the trash cans.

Each bathroom will have the small bottle of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in each bathing location. If you need more than that, bring from home.

Towels I will have to wash/reuse but packing a few extra face cloths in our luggage will be easier than having to do laundry when we run out if necessary!

When I had a 1 bedroom at VGC, there were 2 sets of towels in each bathroom. A 1 bedroom has 4 sets (except 2 hand towels), so they split them up.

And if you are a clean towel every day person, its really easy to throw them in the wash in the morning and in the dryer when you return from the parks and have clean towels every day. Or clean laundry.

We just did 8 days at gfv and I asked to change the day of our full clean and trash and towel by one day. The next day (original full clean) or room had been cleaned. I checked at the desk and was told that we weren't charged for it and we would still get full clean on the day we requested. If we had put toiletries away they would've relaced them. Well, the next day it happened again, all new towels and cleaning. So now I put the toiletries in a bag and two days later full clean again plus toiletries. I'm not nor sure where the wires got crossed but it was a pleasant surprise, in fact on one of the days had washed all the towels and they were in the dryer so they left us a whole other set.
