What is Epcot like between Festivals?

I’ve never been to Epcot for a festival, and we are going to be at WDW July 6-9–so smack dab between two festivals. There are 10 days between them to change out everything. This is fine—we are just going to Drink around the World one evening. I’m just curious what it will be like—is the taking down of one festival and putting up the next likely to be a big mess? Seamless? Done only when the park is closed?

I'd imagine the kiosks will remain in place with only signage changing.

Seamless. You won't notice a thing.

It's awesome. I like the festivals but EPCOT has been so blissfully empty the times we've caught it between festivals. A lot of the booth structures will probably be up but they'll be shuttered.

I was going to say, is there actually a time of year without festivals now? Seriously, I think there are about 3 weeks without them.
