Formerly known as Downtown Disney.Sorry, i haven't been on here in a while and not sure what this is or where. Please enlighten me.![]()
Why not?Can't be DS. Lol
On this board DS typically means Disney Son or Dear SonWhy not?Pleasure Island was "PI", and Downtown Disney was DTD. Stands to reason that Disney Springs should be DS.
...which I have always found to be beyond silly. Why do people say "my DS" instead of "my son"? Personally, I have never used DW or DS to identify a family member and never will.On this board DS typically means Disney Son or Dear Son
(Along with DD for daughter, DW for wife, ....)
I'm waiting for the complaint thread when an alarmed parent talks about how so many creepy guests, sporting lime green Mickey's, kept asking their son, "can we take a ride in your balloon"?...which I have always found to be beyond silly. Why do people say "my DS" instead of "my son"? Personally, I have never used DW or DS to identify a family member and never will.
aww, thanks. thought it might be DD. When we were there this summer the refurbishment was still taking place. I had never been to downtown disney, unlike my husband and 2 older children. Quite an experience, even with all the construction. Is everything finished now?
I see DD and think of a busty female, but I digress....![]()

No, it won't be finished for at least a year, probably more.aww, thanks. thought it might be DD. When we were there this summer the refurbishment was still taking place. Actually, Disney Springs will be completed this upcoming Summer.
Would you have preferred Hyperion Wharf, when they were trying to figure out what way to go with the refurb of DTD this was the name that was given to the complex if they decided to go with those plans.I don't have a big problem with the names Disney Springs or Hyperion Wharf but I am glad they didn't go with the plans for Hyperion Wharf,at least Disney Springs has a story and will be adding like 75 stores and restaurants.Hyperion Wharf's additions did not look very impactful, more like a redesign instead of major new additions Disney Springs is getting. It's an awful new name for Downtown Disney
Really dislike the new one. Nothing "Spring-y" about it.
