What is cheapest rate you've seen for Beach Club in summer?

We are DVC members, but looking at supplementing our trip with a cash room rate, so what is the cheapest rate you've seen for a basic room (either standard or studio) at Beach Club during July? The rack rates are approx. $335-$380/night, depending upon the week.

I know that codes, discounts and promos aren't guaranteed, but the past few years have seen many promos, so paying rack rate isn't always necessary. I'm not sure though if Beach Club is usually discounted - we've received good cash rates at Saratoga and Animal Kingdom Lodge though, but I suspect this is because Disney discounts these rooms as a marketing ploy to get people interested in DVC, wherease Beach Club is a well established, sold out resort.

There are usually some weeks that have discounts during the summer, but we ended up paying full rack for $369 in 2007 simply because that's when I wanted to go and where I wanted to go so it didn't matter. It was totally worth it!

Make sure you check with DVC about their discounts for getting nights not using your points (25% off I think?)

The best I've seen is $239 and that was a few years ago...so I'd add $10 or $20 to that as a possible best rate for this year.

Last August, I had a bounceback rate of $224 and I think an AP rate that was slightly higher (can't remember exactly, but I think it was $240ish). I've got this coming August booked right now with AAA rate of $284 (for a $335 room). Not bad, but I'm still hoping for something better. I don't have an AP this year.
