What is avg. ME time from airport to resorts?

Just trying to decide on whether we should rent a car from airport, or take ME. I have read tons of posts, but there are too many to go through, so if anyone could answer these questions, or post links, that would be great! My DH, DD 2 and myself will be coming in on NWA in July to Saratoga Springs Resort:

1) What is avg. time from airport to resort? We are thinking that if we don't use ME, by the time we get our bags and get our rental car, it would be approx. the same time as using ME?

2) Where would my DD's car seat go in - can it be used on the bus, does it travel with luggage (this is not acceptable to us), or does it get thrown in luggage bay under bus?

If anyone has answers to these questions, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm confused as to why no one has responded yet, when lots of people have used ME. So, how long did it take once you exited the plane, to get to your resort using ME - 30 mins., 1 hour, more than hour?

Sorry to be a pain, but I need to finish making some travel plans today, and I really need this info.

Like you said..."there are tons of posts here." If you are in need of info quickly....I would think that you would be better off to scan through all of the experiences that ones have posted here on the transport board. And perhaps if you state what day and time your arriving...that might help. Just trying to help.

Our experience: We arrived on a Tues evening at 9:40 and were at the resort counter in 47 min.

Thanks for the info - 47 minutes is a good place to start. We are coming in at approx. 10:30 am on a Wed. morning - we've never found MCO to be very busy at this time of day before, but with ME, I wasn't sure what to expect.

I wasn't trying to be rude, but as I stated, I did read through a bunch of posts, and couldn't find specific info about the car seat, so I thought I'd post both questions.

We are going Sept/Oct. We were planning on bringing the carseat to the bus . I'm hoping you can do this!

We got off of our plane at noon and were standing in our hotel room by 1:40pm, so it took less than 2 hours to get from the gate, stand in line for the bus, drive to the hotel and check in and go to our room. We went out for lunch and our bags were in our room by 3:30 when we returned.

If you check your carseat with your bags on the airplane then it would go with the rest of your luggage. If you gate check it or use it on the plane then it would go in the luggage bay when you get on the bus. This is the first trip we actually did not bring our car seats with us. Since we were using ME and car seats can't be used on them, the only reason to use it was on the plane and the convenience of that was more than outweighed by having to lug them around. Our DDs 2 & 4 did very well using the lap belts on the plane.

We landed about noon on 5/ 11 and checked in at POFQ by 1:30 .Bags arrived at 4:30. Not bad considering we didnt recieve ME tags. They were waiting for us when we got home though. LOL

There are no seat belts on the bus, so the car seat is useless on it. I suspect you might be more comfortable getting a rental so you can strap your child in.
