What is AKV "value" rooms? What do you have to do to qualify?...

Value rooms are smaller rooms in Jambo House in the front two trails. They can be parking lot views (very few), sunset savanna views, or pool views. The points values reflect both the size of the rooms and the dealer's choice in view.

Kidani Village, the new building at Animal Kingdom Lodge/Villas under construction will not have value rooms - just savanna and standard view .

We've stayed in a value studio, it's DH and myself and it was fine. They have just about the same amount of furniture so it seems a bit cramped, but as you said for the points, it was definitely worth it.

I have a value 1 bedroom for a weekend coming up for 3 adult females. I think it will be OK. I let you know.

I have a value studio for next week w/ 2 adults & a 5yr old. Have been requesting savannah view, but have recently been hesitant due to all the negative comments about construction. We check in on Wed & nothing yet, so I doubt we'll get it anyway.

Does anyone know if there are REAL cups or did they switch to eternal landfill foam?

You should have real cups and glasses. We had plenty of glasses and the ceramic mugs at BCV in May. The DVC's with a hotel attached get the real stuff, OKW and SSR have to wait until certain types of dishwashers are installed. Those guests have to ask for the real things, but should get them if they ask.

In addition to being smaller rooms the Value 1BRs and 2BRs accommodate fewer people. Value 1BRs accommodate 4 people, Standard View, Savanna View and Concierge 1BRs accommodate 5 people. Similarly the Value 2BRs accommodate 8 people, the non-Value 2BRs accommodate 9 people.
