What is a Sticky?

Hi, can anyone tell me what a sticky is please? and if it's what I think it is how can I stick something on it? I just wanted to put my holiday dates on one of the threads. Thanks

A sticky is a thread that "sticks" to the top of the forums list. If you look at the main DLRP forum, you will see that some threads have the word "Sticky" before them. This means they're important threads that need to be accessible at all times, so they're "pinned" to the top of the forum so that people can access them!

If you go here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=798528 you can post a reply with your holiday dates. Then one of the mods will add your holiday dates to the list!

ahhhhhhhhhhhh I see... thank you for explaining that. I thought I could "stick" the dates on myself!! silly me! I think I already left my dates on that thread so hopefully they'll get "stuck" on. phew!

The DIS mod team is managing a number of boards so they will probably take a bit longer than usual to up date the stickies.
But rest assured that everyone will know doubt spot dates when people are going on holiday etc
