it has a lot of splotchy little colored speckles, kind of like film grain . usually it's when you use a higher iso and in darker areas or like the sky( unpatterned)
scroll down in the link for some egs. http://www.dpreview.com/learn/?/key=noise
Some people here use the Noiseware Community Edition. That is what I use, and it is free!!!!
Here is a link http://www.imagenomic.com/download.aspx I use the standalone edition. It is the one at the very bottom. This one you need no other editing program. There will be an icon on your computer's desktop. With the plug-in version you need an editing program. The software actually "attaches"(I think) itself to editing program.
I downloaded this this morning and was looking at it and am a bit confused on how it works. when a picture is noisy and you use this program how do u take the noise out. Im new to all this stuff and would really like to have as clear of a picture as possible. Any help is much appreciated. THanks
you go to file, open, to the file you want to fix then i just let it do it's default thing (basically click on the "go" i think it says by the drop down menu toward the right side of the bar on the top and it fixes the noise. ) if your photo is really noisy you might need more but that has worked for me. i use the free one so the plug in might be different, don't know
Thank You very much. It seems pretty obvious to me now that i look at it. I just saw all those different bars and thought you had to move them around to get it to work.
