We can't sail, so let's reminisce.

I'll start, I have many, since we have been sailing with the kids since 2004. One of my funniest memories happened on our last cruise, November 2018. Magic out of NYC. We cruised with my sister and my adult niece. My nephew, sister's oldest son had been tragically killed in August of 2018. To my surprise, she still went on the cruise. Needless to say, I tried to do everything and anything I could to make it a fun time.

It was her 1st ever cruise, so she obviously had never been on the Aquadunk. In all of my cruises, I had never been on either. I did not like how steep the drop looked. She convinced me to try it. I hesitantly agreed, so we climbed the steps. Once we got to the top, and I saw how steep it really was, I wanted to back out. I was trying to leave and go back down the stairs, but she and my niece were physically blocking me from doing so. She convinced me to do it, as scared as I was. She went 1st, and I was next (niece behind me so I couldn't run). I am in the box....IN THE BOX. She shot down, and I am crossing my arms, getting ready to be released when I looked down and she is looking up at me signaling to abort. You know how you shake your fingers in front of your throat when you want someone to stop what they are doing???!! UMMM a little late, Sissie!!! My brain no sooner realized what she was signaling when I was released. OMG. I was in full panic all the way down. She is a thrill seeker, and for her to signal for me to not do it, meant it must have been bad. I don't even remember most of it. I do know when I survived, I realized I was still alive, we laughed hysterically. I couldn't believe she basically forced me on it, only to tell me not to when it was too late to turn back. I think we laughed all the way back to the staterooms. Never did go on it again.

Our whole Hawaii cruise. Also seeing the person that made the Lego wonder, walk around the lego ship guiding a blind gentleman’s hand over it explains what the ship looks like. Just one of those really cool acts of kindness we sometimes see. But overall that probably will go down as our favorite cruise ever.

Also on our 5 night right after the Magic was reimagined going down the Aquadunk over 100 times as a 40+ year old child! Even though I am afraid of heights it was a blast and have even done a more intense one at a local water park since:)

Our very first cruise. As we walked up the gangway to board the ship, I grabbed my husband's arm (in a vice-like grip with claws) and shrieked "WE'RE GOING ON A SHIP!!!!!!"

Yeah, I was excited. First cruise - 15 nights, Panama Canal.

If you stand on your tip toes you make a faster cleaner entry and stay against the slide. Flat footed you seem to briefly lose contact with the slide. It makes a huge difference. Also fun when they mess with you and drop you early:) The one I did back home a few times was a longer vertical and straight also a blast:)

One of our best cruises was when we took my BIL and his family with us and all the kids were invited to be honorary pin traders. One of the best memories for all of us together!
