What is 1 unpopular opinion on fashion you have?

I'm with you, men wear proper real hats and kids can wear baseball hats, or while playing baseball/sports.

Real hats as in....?

My husband quite honestly looks good in baseball style hats (bill forward and a curved bill as the flat bill does not look good on him) the every so often that he wears them but in any other hat he would look ridiculous.

Fedoras (although I think the Trilby is over played, still cute!), homburgs, panama, bowlers, hooligans, safari hats (don't know the technical name), cowboy hats. Too bad my DH has a giant head and will only wear a hat in extreme sun. I LOVE men in hats.

There are a few grown men who can make it work...they usually look like athletes/former athletes, so you're probably very lucky

lol yeah...we've for fun tried on different styles of hats over the years in stores and whatnot...nope nope nope they are not for him.

Actually our inside joke is him saying "so I should wear a fedora, right?" no please don't honey.

Also... I hate that women don't wear hose any more. In the fall & summer, it's fine because I have a tan. But I'm really self-conscious of how my bare legs look in the winter & early spring.

I still wear hose whenever I wear a dress (which is much more seldom nowadays). I hate the way my legs look, and I really don't like feeling like they're on display.

Men's slim fit clothing-there is only 1 Luke Bryan and chances of him shopping at 17 different retailers in Central KY are not very high. Retailers-if 90% of your clearance is either a size small or slim fit, nobody is buying it. Carry something we want instead.

Tattoos-I'll get flamed, but they look trashy. Doesn't matter what it is or where it is at or what size. Same thing with folks with 20 holes in the face for piercings, or those inch wide holes in the earlobes. Have some self respect. Do you really think someone will hire you in a career type job?

Most people with tattoos do have self respect. I don't know anyone with piercings so can't answer for that. Perhaps you aren't lumping them together and it just reads that way?

But tattoos are pretty accepted these days. For those wanting certain type jobs, they just make sure they are covered. DS has several. One the size of his calf on his leg, no one ever sees it at his job. But the vast majority of "careers" out there really don't care about tattoos anymore.

I honestly don't know anyone without tattoos, many with full sleeves/large pieces. Almost all of them have good careers and the ones who don't can't blame it on any of their body modifications.

Thought of another one...

Hooded sweatshirts. Why do people wear hooded sweatshirts with the hood up all the time? I've seen drivers of cars wear it this way, in photographs, etc. Indoors/outdoors...it doesn't matter what the weather is or where it is worn.

Wear what you want. Even if I think it's weird it's just my opinion. The only thing I wish people would keep in mind is to dress properly for work. What that means will depend on the industry and company but don't show up for an interview with most professional companies unless you are dressed professionally.

Even when I interviewed for my first real job in 9th grade I wore a suit.

9 tattoos over here. Graduated Summa Cum Laude, been working as a heme/onc/BMT RN for 2 years, and I’m in school for my MSN/DNP.

Speaking of hideous prints, I think the prints on some luxury bags are heinous and no one would like them if they weren't a label. The brown and black Louis Vuitton print, Goyard, Gucci, Coach, I could go on. They're an eyesore and they don't really go with anything.

I think tattoos are sexy. If you got them, flaunt them!!! I keep thinking I would love to get a really small one. But I can never decide on a design.

Next thought- unnaturally colored hair (pink, blue, purple that looks grey-- why??) Once in a while I'll see someone who has it done so that it looks okay, but for the most part- fugly.
