What in the world did they do with the Target APP?

I bought $200 worth of Target giftcards today. I went to load them onto the APP to load them onto an existing gift card that I already have so I can be reassured that it won't be used by whoever sold it to me and they changed the entire format. I can no longer combine gift cards and I can no longer use a bar code(If I need to use it in store).

Am I missing something here? Anyone else have the same problem? I have an Android if that makes a difference.

This is how gift cards come up now and no way to click on each individual gift card. Is this how yours looks?

I have an apple and just checked. It looks a little different but I was able to log in and my gift card amount is still there.

And you still have a barcode and ability to combine gift cards?

Yes, both are still on my app.

Mine does not look like that but I see that there's an update available to the current version of the Target app and I have not done it. Guess that I won't be doing it until they get rid of the bug.

I just tried it on my phone, and yes, I can still pull up a barcode, and I combined two of mine to make sure it worked

Hmmm...I wonder why mine is the way it is. It just lists all my card's gift card numbers and access numbers. No way to click on each individual card or any way to combine them.

Most likely the problem. I don't know that I updated it because my phone automatically does it Thanks for the replies all!

Ok, I just figured it out. Kind of. The Target APP used to take me to the Target Mobile site to access my gift cards. It wasn't doing that. When I clicked the Help button it redirected me to the Mobile website, asking for my login (The APP asks for my email, the mobile website asks for my phone number). Once I entered my phone number it came up how it used to on the APP. But, like I said, the picture that I posted is how it appears on the APP. The way that it appeared before ONLY shows up on the Mobile Website.

Probably more information than of you needed but I kind of have it figured out now. It's just not on the APP how it was before.

I have android and it's all different now. I can't login with my phone number, have to use my regular email account. The m.target.com site still lets you combine gcs.

Op - I'd get an actual card and move all your others to that physical card. You can get one when you return stuff or buy promotional items that come with a gc.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I know I have a promo gift card somewhere... Thanks for the idea!
