Sorry guys, I can't seem to find the thread I remember that discussed what flights out would be OK to book. I'm wondering about what time can you safely book your flight home post-cruise? I don't want to worry AT ALL about missing my flight home, so I'd like to be at the airport 90 minutes before the flight leaves. Is 11 am too early a flight to take home?

by DCL that my flight at 12:15 was cutting it close...I don't know if your flight will work or not...I think I would call DCL direct and ask them.:p

We were two of the first off of the Magic on 9/21 (around 7:30). We grabbed a porter as we came down the steps at the terminal and told him where our luggage would be. He grabbed our luggage, put our customs form in a box, and had us to the bus by 7:40. We checked our luggage with US Air and got on the DCL bus at 7:50. We pulled out from the terminal about 8:15 and arrived at MCO around 9:00. The line at the metal detector was about 6 people long and was no problem. My belt caused the detector to go off so I got the honor of being checked sans my shoes before proceeding. We got to sit in the terminal for 2 hours and 45 minutes before our 12:35 flight. I would not hesitate to get a 11:00 AM flight next time.

Please keep in mind that we skipped breakfast and were on of the first in line to disembark.

Hope this helps,

Russ

On our 3 Day Wonder, we were off the boat by 8:00 a.m. after eating at the first seating for Breakfast. We didn't realize we would be off so soon because our limo wasn't scheduled to pick us up until 9 a.m. :o Needless to say, we slept on the extra bus outside the terminal until our driver arrived. We were through the gates and waiting for our 12:30 flight at MCO by 11 a.m.

Next time, I will book an earlier flight. Elevenish probably.

When returning home 10/5, we took our time getting off the ship and were still at MCO by 9:30AM. Our flight didn't leave until 12:50, so it was a loooonng day ( we also had a two hour layover in St. Louis). I would maybe try to book a flight around 11:30AM if possible.
