What if we miss our FP+ time?

What if we miss our FP+ time? For example, I have Buzz 9:15-10:15 am with the intent to use it closer to 10:15. If we decide to sleep in instead and we miss the time entirely, can I make a new FP+ ressie for later in the day?

We intentionally skipped a FP+ time in November and were able to reschedule another one since we didn't use it.

Yes, but no guarantee buzz would still be available.

I thought you had to switch it before the hour was up?

No, you can use it for anything available. We were just there in February and some of the stand-by lines were so short, we just waited in line and switched our fp+ for busier rides that we didn't think we would get to go on.

We were even able to switch fp+ after the time had passed. A CM told us that you can switch after the fact and it did work for us, however things may have changed since then.

For all the people that have complained about the new FP, and they may not go back to Disney, this sure seems like a major positive. To be able to see that a ride is not busy and change the FP on the fly is major. Its different, but like everything else, it can be a good different. Those is the know will look for these options, while others will just continue on their original chosen path.

Thanks for sharing. This is great information.

sure if you have a smart phone, it still has a charge, the app works, and there are still times/attractions available that work with your schedule/plans...or you can stand in line at a kiosk, so you can avoid standing in line...:wizard:

We missed a FP time, and later on there was actually a prompt on my MDE FP+ saying that I had FP+ availability. Unfortunately, there were no times available - it was all standby only. It was fine with us, because we'd left the parks by then, but it would've been pretty lousy if we had still been there. It might work if you jump right on it, but just keep in mind that there will be A LOT of people at the in-park kiosks snapping up those time slots!

Yes. . you can rebook any FPs that you don't use for anything else (that is available of course). We were told the only time you can't reschedule is during the actual 1 hour window so you need to do it before or after the window is over to change it.

You can also change parts of a group . . .so if you have 4 FPs for something and only 2 of you end up riding you can reschedule the other 2 for something else.

Can the new FP be any any tier or does it have to match the tier of the one that passed by. For example, if have a lower tier booked (maybe EO) and already have Soarin FP, can I then select Test Track?

I can't imagine that you'd be able to do that. If that was possible, then everyone would be swapping out one of their tier 2 FPs for a tier 1.

Only people that let an initial FP pass without using it would be swapping. I would consider booking an early lower tier with the intention of letting it pass if this works.

I'd like to know one way or the other whether a tier 1 can be scheduled in place of a tier 2 that has passed.:confused3

I would be extremely surprised if this worked. Let us know if you try it.

I agree. I need someone else to be the guinea pig before I make my next visit in May. ;)

It may be worth the try for an early arrival at EPCOT. It shouldn't be too difficult to find another 2nd tier after letting an early one pass if that is all I'm allowed to do. I will be there during a relatively low crowd time period...I hope.
