What if we miss an ADR?

I read something somewhere (maybe here?) that there was a cancellation policy on ADR's, and if we missed ours, we'd be charged. But, I never gave them a credit card number or anything, so how would that work?

Not that I'm PLANNING on missing the TWO we actually were able to get, but if something happened, and we didn't budget our time right, I'm just curious what will happen.

If there is no credit card hold there will be no charge.

If you know ahead of time that you'll miss your ADR, it's always nice to call WDW-DINE to tell them.

(We called a few times in March when plans changed, and though the Dining CM sounded like they thought we were nuts - I felt like I was giving it up for someone else)

You are only charged on ressies that are secured with a CC (CRT, Hoop de Doo, Spirit of Aloha, CP package, etc.) if you don't cancel 48 hours before. Other than that, there is no penalization for a missed ADR.

Nothing happens unless its an ADR held by credit card. I had several TS ADR's I cancelled during our trip last month, but I always try to call as far in advance as possible to cancel them. Hopefully someone got lucky with our LTT ressie on MNSSHP night last month :)

To me, it's just common courtesy to call so that time slot can be freed up for someone else to use.

If a person is running late-- how long will they hold a reservationbefore giving it up. I find it hard to believe that manypeople will call and cancel a reservation since nothing holds you to it.

Is it easy to make two dinner reservations in one night at two different times ?
