What If there Is No Room For Us On Bus?

I am wondering if anybody can help me with my concern. We are staying three nights before the cruise at the All Star Sports resort, we have booked transfers seperatley with DCL for the trip to the port and return to the hotel after the cruise. As they dont pick up from the All Stars I was asked when I booked the transfers what pick up point did I want. As we are not that far from the Animal Kingdom Lodge we selected that.
We recieved our docs this week and although it says we have paid for transfers it does not say what time/Destination we have selected. I phoned DCL and they asked me did I want to be picked up from the Animal Knigdom park/Hotel, I told them hotel and they informed me that I needed to be there at 11.45 latest as the bus leaves at 12.30. They did not tell me they had reserved seats for me, but made me feel it was more of a jump on where I wanted to arrangement. They also informed me that if I wanted to be picked up at the park instead I could change my mind.
Now my worry is if they dont actually reserve seats for us, what if the bus is full up? Will I have to make my own arrangements as I got the feeling that there was only 1 Bus from the Hotel.
Has anybody else booked transfers and were unable to get on?

Thanks for any info

They will know how many people they need to transfer from the resorts and have the proper number of busses available, I believe. I've never heard of someone being "bumped" from the DCL busses.

We did something similar on our second trip. They know how many people are coming and they have enough buses/seats for everyone!

If you have paid transfers, they have a spot for you on the bus. That is why they asked you where you want to board the bus. Usually the bellhop will run you over to the place where you will catch the DCL bus--ask the head bellman on the day you check in and remember to tip the guy who takes you over. While he is driving you, he isn't doing luggage duty!

The busses will go from one resort to the next if it is not full and there are people to be picked up. So, one way or another everyone gets picked up eventually.

Many Thanks to all who replied. I feel a lot better now knowing that we will not be left behind.

Just adding my 2 cents.... If your family are early risers, consider the option of going to the Animal Kingdom in the morning before the transfers to the port. You leave your luggage at the hotel and they will pick it up for you there. You check in with the DCL reps just outside the turnstiles at the AK and they will hold your carry on luggage there. You will have about 3 hours to enjoy the park, plus you get priority seating at a choice of 2 shows. We did this and had a great time. There 6 busloads of pre-cruisers leaving the park that afternoon!!! This is just an idea!! Please don't worry about being left behind, no matter what option you choose. They have list of cruisers and there are tons of reps checking those lists!!!::yes::

Have a great trip!!! Let us know all about it when you get back!!!:wave2:

EmmasGrammy-

Thanks for the tip, that sounds like a great idea. Plus an extra couple of hours in the park instead of waiting at the hotel sounds like a better option. I will let you know how we get on when we get back.
