Seen this bumper sticker again today....always makes me smile :teeth:

What's your favorite part? I like the whole self. :dancer:

I just like to shake it all about... :jumping3:

With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment,it is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person, which almost went unnoticed last week.

Larry LaPrise, the man who wrote "The Hokey Pokey," died peacefully at age 93.

The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin.
They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started .....

Now that there is funny, I don't care who you are.

You know, I truly believe that it is "what it is all about." In fact, I have written it into my will that this will be played at my funeral service and that I do expect the attendees to participate!

(Ok - you have to know me!! ;) )

you mean it isn't what it is all about? my whole purpose in life is gone! I have no meaning! I should just go live in a box at the park! There is nothing left for me anymore!!

Now some may not find the following story humorous, but if you knew the guy, you would have laughed... My uncle (who has since passed away) had to have his foot amputated, due to a bone tumor that appeared to be cancerous. Well, at my grandparents' 50th anniversary party, someone asked the DJ to play the hokey pokey..when it came to the part to "put your right foot in" he did - he tossed his prosthesis to one of my other uncles, who promptly tossed it into the center of the circle!

Yeah right, what about living to get the last word in? What about THAT?

YES....ABSOLUTELY! WHAT SHE SAID!!!

ETA: I need to get rid of dial up just to keep ahead of you!!

I ain't gonna have a funeral. Why spend all those big bucks to a funeral home so that people can walk by and lie about how darned 'natural" I look. Unless I am barefoot, with a book in a hand and a joke on my lips ain't nuthin' natural about me at all.

We is gonna have us a PARTEEE!!!! Spend those big bucks on food and drinks and tell funny Linda stories. Until then I will continue to live those stories so there will be many to tell.

Going out with a laugh and lots of Hokey Pokey!!!
