What if people were only as cool as their shoes? Dec09 TR. last hours at Disney pg19

Cute story about your friend, she sounds like fun, are you two still in touch?

I named my daughter Marrisa, it's pronounced Mareesa, hence the nickname Reese, but everybody would call her Marisa except for people of spanish decent, we even changed the spelling of her name to Mareesa just so people would get it right and a few still mispronounce her name, even her biological father who is Mexican misprounces her name. go figure.
Actually no, I haven't seen her since the party for her return home back in '89. My bestfriend from high school was the host family for Usa and got to see both of them when she went in return to Spain to stay there for a while. Usa was from serious money, so my friend was pretty overwhelmed by this fact, she woke up and couldn't find the clothes she dropped on the floor when crawling in bed with jet lag, but then awoke again later to find her clothes being put down on the chair in the room by a complete stranger who happened to be the maid.

LOL! I loved your description of how your phone went off, sounds like you needed a different song on there while you were in WDW. LOL! I wish I could put a song on mine, but we have to have the data package in order to put songs or that sort of thing on there. Stupid.
Your a great writer to read from, Ty. I have fun reading your TR, and I always look forward to your next installment. Keep up the good work and keep us in stitches.

I tried switching my ring tone to somthing a little more subtle but then I never heard it ring, I need the scream to draw me out of a daze.
Thank you so much for compliment, I love to write and tell my story I just have a hard time relaying it from the mind to the computer, so many people here on the Dis have such an awesome way of turning a phrase.

I don't think anyone on here has anything on you. Your a lot of fun to read! I've seen some people on here who don't even speak english well and still have lots of people reading them. I think it's all in the way your you that makes it fun for the readers. Seriously. I was hooked from second one when I started reading your PTR, still am! :thumbsup2

I dedicate this segment to venusleo1

The arlarm goes off early, too early for me today, this was really the only day that I did not want to get out of bed, everybody else got up and got showered and were ready before I even got out of bed. I was dreading putting my foot down for the first time, I could feel the tightness in the skin and it hurt.

I finally had no choice but to get up and as soon a I stood my leg gave out, I sat on the floor for a few minutes, and then tried again, much better, so I went and took 4 advil and started getting ready, I couldn't even shave my leg because it felt so raw, and when I put lotion on it burned so bad, like stepping into the ocean right after you've shaved your legs, this rots my socks!

I get dressed but can't wear socks, they are too tight so I just wear some ankle socks. Before long we were out the door and headed to the bus stop, I opted to take the long way just to avoid the stairs, flexing my ankle up or down brought so much pain.

The wait for the bus was long, I was worried about making uor ADR's I always worry about making our ADR's but I was told if we were late or missed this one my credit card would be charged, but before I was able to start a panic an Epcot bus showed up. We boarded and had seats together. Mom kept asking me what was wrong and I told her I was tired but once I got some breakfast in me I'd be good to go.

We make it through back check and finger scans no problem, there's still 10 minutes till rope drop, we picked up a couple maps and I told Mom and Janis to go check us in at Akershus while Marzi and I go get us fast passes, Mom wanted to stick together but when I showed mom the distance she would have to walk and how fast she would have to walk just so we could make our ADR's she decided that checking us in was the best idea. So we separate, Marzi and I waiting with the thousands of other people who all had the same mission as us, Soarin, I wa slooking around at everybody, I was seeing determination, there were speeches among groups, "We are not losers! we have to be on the first run of Soarin this morning, Mercy is for the week."

Each man for themselves, if you lose a commrade on the mad rush to Soarin...LEAVE HIM!

People were stretching, like they were getting ready to run a marathon, Mothers were strapping their children into their strollers extra tight, "Just hold on with both hands baby."

I looked at Marzi, she was so innocent, is she really ready for this, I wanted to give her a little pep talk, but what came out was "This is going to suck more then anything has ever sucked before." (props to Beavis and Butthead for that line)

The rope drops and everybody takes off, Marzi and I are doing well, I will not run to a ride, but I brisk walk my hind end off. Eventually we start to lose spped and we are getting passed up rather quickly, I tell myself no need to panic, we are just getting fast passes, they won't run out before we get there.

The place was a mad house, people acted like they had to evacuate and the only way out was this hanglider!
We get in the fast pass line, Marzi has Janis' card and I have Moms, we separate, not on purpose, it just happend, the guy in front ofme had 2 cards, cool this won't take long, then yells to his freind, "Yo Ronnie, gimme ya cards" so Ronnie comes over with a gazillion cards and he starts feeding them into the machine, Marzi sees me waiting and she is next up to her machine so I gave her my 2 cards, which in a way is cutting in line, weather I feed the cards myself or I give them to Marzi it was still cutting, I still have a little guilt.:guilty: But we had our FP's with a return time of 10:30, can you believe it? The park had been open maybe 10 minutes and the FP return was already and hour and a half away.

Finally FP's in hand we make our way out of there and over to WS, we make it to Akershus farely quick, Mom was so happy to see me, "I'm glad you're here, they just called in the lady that was right before me, so we're next."

"It doesn't neccessarily mean we're next Mom, she could have an earlier ADR then us, we've gone over this before."

The next group was called, it wasn't us, neither was the next or the next or the next, Mom started to worry, "Maybe she didn't understand me, maybe you should go up and make sure that I gave the correct information."

"Mom, did you tell them Ty Colyer, or did you tell them Michele Coyler?"

"Ty Colyer."

"Then it's fine, lets not worry yet ok?

"OK" she smiles big.

The wait was getting a little ridiculous, they were running a bit behind, I could feel my leg swelling, I swore at any minute it was going to bust open, I am not lying when I tell you my calf looked pregnant.

They called us 10 minutes after our ADR time, but the way they have it set up to get us in there really works, they are on their game. We got ready for our picture with Belle, it shouldn't have been so dificult but somehow we made it out to be. We were not working well together, thank goodness for the CM who jumped in and sorted out our mess.
alldis09061.jpg

After our ociture with Belle we were seated, it was nice inside, not as Royal as Ithought it would be, I expected it to look more like a castle inside, but it was still super nice.
Our server came over and A small wimper could be heard from the group of us woman, he was suh-weet! I am not into blond hair and blue eyes on guys, but this guy was man pretty! Marzi said she would like to have him and some melted butter. OKAAAAY! I didn't ask her to elaborate and she didn't tell. But her eyes and evil grin gave her away.

We went up to start filling our plates, I will say that Akershus has excellent fresh fruit, the red and black raspberries were so huge, and super juicy and really sweet, they had a huge assortment of breakfast breads with different spreads, yogurt was offered as well as muffins, I mostly grabbed fruit and yogurt, I wanted to ave room for the actual food. It wasn't too long before they brought it out, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and some potato dish that we all loved, it was family style and they said we could order more, we really thought that we would be ordering more of the potato's but we filled up pretty fast.
The first princess to come through was Aurora, She didn't do much, she said Hi, are you enjoying your breakfast? We said yes, I went to reach for camera but she had moved onto the next table, oh well!
Next to come around was Cinderella, She actually stayed with us for quite some time, talking to us about where we were from, Then she said Oh My that is a very long carriage ride. "Mom said yea, one of the horses died on the way." cinderella wasn't sure how to take that, she lookes heart broken, Mom had to tell her she was kidding. Cinderella was absolutley flawless, how does anybody get their skin so perfect, I was so jealous. And she also looke dexactly like my sons girlfriend Chelsea, it was unbelievable. We had our picture taken with her bu tit didn't turn out because of a glare from the sun, she had already walked away by the time I had seen it wasn't a keeper but I didn't want to call her back for a retake, I think that might be against disney rules anyway.

The next princess up was Sleeping Beauty, she was the only princess that I still needed a picture of so I was happy to see her. She talked with us for a while and told us that apples were her favorite fruit. We warned her not to take any apple from strangers, and she asked us "What is a stranger?" She was to cute, we got our picture and I hated it, I actually hated all the pictures of me that day, I was feeling yucky, it's not easy going without your daily face wash and giving my self facials, Disney's bar of face soap was not helping me at all.

The next princess was Ariel, she was fun, she told us how much she loved her new legs, I don't know if she was wearing contacts but her eyes were so blue, they had to of been contacts, but I couldn't tell, normally I can tell who has contacts. Mom and I posed for a picture with her.
alldis09064.jpg

Marzi and Janis were'nt all into getting their pics with the characters, every once in a while they would.

Breakfast for us was over in abour 40 minutes, we didn't linger too long, I took a hydrocodone, and then we left.

We were walking towards Soarin when Mom said she had forggoten to take her pills at breakfast, "Hello, did you not see me take mine? Dis that not remind you to take yours? Go take them now!, there's a fountain righ tthere."

Mom went over and took all her pills, when she came back she said she mixed her pills up and had taken her night time pills instead, I was so ticked off at her, she had spent quite a few days picking at me (not in a mean way) about being forgetful and losing stuff and what not, bu there she brought the wrong pills to the park, among those pills were sleep aids, and she had just downed one this morning, I was expecting our day to be shot, there was no way she was going to have fun when she is fighting to stay awake.

We make it over to Soarin and our FP says we can ride now, so we get in line and just keep walking, we never had to stop and weight, when we got up to the front they sent us across to the other side. we were given our row to stand on, that's when I realized we would have a front row, no feet in our view, I have always had the foot view and it was still an awesome ride so now without the foot view it's going to be even awesomer.

We take our seats, I remove my crocs cause I love to soar in my stocking feet. We get all buckled in and the ride lifts up, the movie starts and we begin to soar, Mom ia laughing and squealing, "Oh Ty, this is so wonderful, I lov eit, I love it."
Janis is leaning way over to look down, she's looking up, to the sides, she is taking it all in, she starts clapping her hand and then she leans across my Mom and grabs my arm, "Ty this is so special, thank you for planning this trip, I am having such a good time."

Now I always get happy tears when I ride Soarin and now seeing how much everybody else is loving it only adds to the happy tears. I spent so much time building this ride up to Mom, I kept telling her that describing it wasn't enough, she knew it sounded like a fun ride but she didn't know just ho much it makes you feel.
When we soared over the pine trees, mom is excitedly saying to Janis, can you smell the pine, then the orange groves came, (or vice versa) and Mom was all about those too. Janis had a cold and couldn't really smell anything, she was a bit diaspointed but it didn't ruin the experience too much for her.

We pointed our toes to try and dip them in the river as we flew over, we screamed when we thought we wee gonna be clocked by the golf ball, and we picked our feet up when we got too close to the ocean.

Finally at the end of the ride we are soaring over the castle with the fireworks going and then Tinkebell comes out, Mom was so happy, so so happy.

We disembark the ride and go get fast passes for later, the return time is now 5:45pm.

We then decide that test Track sounds like a good next ride, so we casully make our way over there, standby is 60 minutes, so we grab fast passes and head into a store, Mousegears, my all time favorite place to shop, I would be getting my gift card in 2 days, so I was making a mental note, I had that card mentally spent in just a few minutes. We spent close to an hour in here, I know Mom made a few purchases, I just don't remember what they were, I'm thinking she bought some pins.

We made it over to test track then and pretty much it was walkon for us, I saw a guy spit while we were waiting to get in our cars, right on the ground there, he spit, Nasty!!!

Mom and I sat in front and Janis and Marzi were behind us. Mom got a case of the nervous giggles, the guy that was next to her leaned over, "First time riding test track?"
Mom gave him a big smile, "First time at Disney World ever!"
He smiled and said hold on tight to your belongings, this ride gets fast."

Mom wa sloving this ride too, I was so happy because I really thought Mom wouldn't be able to do many thrill rides and here she did ToT with me and now was riding test track, which really isn't a major thrill ride, but for Mom it is, I was so proud of her for doing new things. I was worried that this ride does get a bit bumpy but if you think about it, it's no worse then the Michigan roads and Mom drives those every day."

It get's to the part where we are outside and at our maximum speed, mom is screaming her laugh, it was so nice to hear it, and then I forgot about about the dips in the roa, like little bunny hops on a coaster, I loved it.

We got off the ride and and went to check out our picture, it was hilarious, my hair was so wild in that picture, and all of us had our mouths wide open.

After test track I wasn't sure what to do, I had planned that this be ur WS day, but I didn't know if they wanted to continue with rides or what, so I asked them and Janis said she would like to pick a pearl..
That's a fantastic idea, I took out the map to see if we would be better of walking to Japan or taking a boat, the boat was our best bet, when I was looking at the ap I saw they had a first aid station so I told my peeps to just hangout and I will meet them over by the boats.
Marzi came with me to 1st aid station, the only person in there was a nurse, so I explained to her about my leg injury from months before and how it was giving me trouble, she looked at my leg and said, you shouldn't be walking on it, I can get you a wheel chair, I declined the wheel chair and asked for a bandage wrap, so she got me that and asked if I needed help, righ tthen another lady was brought in, she had hit her head earlier that morning and now she was vomitting, Marzi told the nurse to help the other lady and since Marzi is a nurse she wrapped my leg for me, A few minutes later after the nurse had gotten the lady a bed in the back, she came out with an ice back for me and a sock like thing to hold the ice in place. I stayed there for another few minutes then left after filling out a card saying how helpful dorothy (the nurse ) was.

Mom and Janis were sitting on a bench eating ice cream, aboat was on it's way to the launch so they finsihed up their ice cream and we mosied over to the boat.
My sister called me then and we talked for most of the boat ride. Again it was nice being able to talk to her so much, we talk every day, sometimes 2 or more times a day, I feel like I have lost or misplaced somthing and am empty if I don't get to talk to my sister at least once a day. so once we docked I said my goodbyes to her and then the 4 of us headed to Germany.

We looked around, Me and Mom have lived in Germany, and Marzi's husband is German so they have gone to Germany to visit relatives, both Mom an dMarzi were amazed that it felt like we were actually there in Germany again.

We went into a shop and looked over all the goodies, I always load up on chocolate here for my kids, I didn't that day becuse I knew I would be back and I would just get it later.

I had to get a picture of Marzi holding Marzipan, I mean that's how she got the nickname from me back in 5th grade. Her name being Maurie always reminded me of Marzipan, so I started calling her that, and then she would cll me Tyzipan, which I would tell her makes no sense, there isn't any Tyzipan, but there is Marzi pan, over time Marzipan got cut short to Marzi.
alldis09060.jpg

We left Germany empty handed only because weknew we'd be back, we went straight to Japan, we stopped to watch them play the drums, wow that was amazing and what a work out those girls do, it's a long show and they never lose fuel they just keep going and going, the muscles in their arms were unbelievable, that's what I need to do to get rid of my underarm flab.

We went into the store and Janis went and got her number for pick a pearl, Marzi and I shopped around abit, they had Muncheechee's I used to collect them when I lived in Germany I wanted one so bad, but really what would I do with it? I still have one of My Muncheechee's frmt 1st grade, I had named him chaka from land of the lost cause I thought he looke dlike him. I need to find that little guy, he's somewere in my attic. Maybe he will be my next trip mascot.
Janis's number was called so we gathered around her to watch, she chose a very ugly oyster and was hoping to get a pink pearl, if she got a pink one she was goingt oget a ring made, if she got anything else she said she would probably just put it with her other ones and do nothing with it.
alldis09065.jpg

SO the lady doing the pick a pearl was so great, "OK, you count wis me now, fy, fo, sree, tu and a one, oh look dis a my favorite, I show you, see isa pinka pear. I bang on my drum for you because I am so happy." She starts beating the drum and doing a dance, then she showed everybody else the pearl. It was pretty, not super pink but a hin tof ink and a nice size too, as I stood watching this all my toes go numb and my shoe gets too tight, plus the ice was starting to melt and drip into my shoe, so Marzi me and Mom head outside to sit on abench while Janis gets a ring made, she came out and said it would be 20 minutes we told her we would wait for her right there.

I couldn't take it any more and I asked Marzi to take my shoe and sock off. When I saw my foot I went into histarics, I was laughing so hard I was wheezing, my foot was so grotesques, the wrap had managed to bring the swelling down in my leg but now my foot was all swollen, Marzi told me my toes looked like little sausages. Mom didn't see the hunor in this, she's my mom and it's her job to worry about me, but really who could not laugh at my cartoon looking foot?
alldis09066.jpg

Tell me that is not ridiculously funny!:lmao:

Marzi said she would wrap the foot for me and it would probably push the swelling back up into my leg, gross! you mean I ave all this fluid that is just going to roam around my body? Gross! But it's all I could really do, so I had her wrap my foot, And I will say again, t' nice having a nurse as a BFF, she was so good at keeping me strong.
alldis09067.jpg

See her doing a great job and she didn't even charge me for this.

Janis eventually came out with her ring, they told her not to wear it for 24 hours so that it can properly set, but she showed us the ring and it was nice, I kind of wanted to do this now, but decided I would wait when I was back for my birthday.

We started to head out towards America, and I will fisnish this update another day, it's late and I have to work tomorrow, although it's the closing shift and I can sleep in, I just don't want to sleep all day.

Well it looks like your EPCOT day was much drier than mine was. I'm glad you guys are having such a good time! I have done the "Pick a Pear" three different times and two times I have gotten twins. The seacret is to look in all the tanks for the dirtiest, ugliest oyster you can. That is the one who will have the best pearl(s) in it. Can't wait to hear more!

AWESOME! we have the same travel dates, I can just look at your ticker and know how many more days till my trip, really only 7 months and 28 days? I thought it was longer then that? Yay us!:woohoo:

We will be celebrating our anniversary as well, together for 15 years and married for 12.

Adults only vacations rock. My daughter will be a junior in high school and is looking forward to staying home alone, hahahah( I have plans for grandma to come over every day) My son will either still be in bootcamp or will be at his next duty station by then, he graduates HS this year and is going into the Coast Guard.

I will be starting a PTR soon, will you be doing one? Maybe we'll have an accidental meet up, or maybe oooo I like this idea...maybe we could have a small meet up and grab a margarita in celebration of our anniversarys? What do ya think? I mean I know we just met and I'm already planning a double date here, but hey we've got 7 months and 28 days to mull this over.:goodvibes

Sounds good! I would love to meet you! We have plenty of time to plan something. I have been thinking of doing a PTR. I have never done one before. It's almost time to make ADRs (3/29)! :woohoo: I really hope free dinning comes out before then. I have the deluxe dinning plan on my reservations (2 rooms) and it is way expensive.

Ok, back to this trip report! :rotfl:

I want to pick a pearl! That sounds fun! I promised myself I would do it last visit, but I got so stingy with my money, I ended up with only two purchases for myself: a Pirates shot glass and a Mickey Ornament. I am still kicking myself for buying all the stuffed animals for the kids that now sit at the bottom of the toy box untouched.
Love your cell phone ring. My tattoo artist has Ozzy's Crazy Train, so in the middle of tattooing I usually hear a big Ozzy scream "All aboard" every 15 minutes. I literally jump. Luckily, he has very steady hands and hasn't screwed up on me yet when I freak out over his phone.
I, too, thought Akershus would be more royal inside, but the princesses were all so nice! Much nicer than at the CRT. My husband was in heaven with all the pretty blonde waitresses. The boys were just too man pretty for me. :)

I love the way you describe your mom and Janis having so much fun on Soarin'. You really bring in the emotion for us to all feel with you all! So great!

I hope to do a pearl too, and get a ring made. My DH got me a strand of pearls last year, and I really want a ring to match it.

Your ankle looks horrible!! You really probably shouldn't have been on it!

I'ts great your mom is enjoying everything- even TT!!

We didn't enjoy Akershus at all. The princesses were all rushed- a quick hi how ya doing, and on they went. It was like we were a bother to them to even get a picture with them We were there for lunch, and the food was really only so-so. We had gone in 2000 and the food was really authentic and so-so good!! Ah well, there's other places to try.

Your poor leg :sad2: Hope the swelling went down as the day went on. Looks like you had a more memorable experience at Akershus than we did in July. I will have to give that place another try. Bubba felt so sick that day that we had to leave even before any of the princesses came to our table. I only got one photo with Snow White, right before we left. Thank goodness for Marzi and helping get you all fixed up!

Yay thank's Ty! I'm even more excited about my trip now after reading your last installment! I loved reading your Soarin experience. I'm so excited to go check it out. We were there on the 1st and by the time we went to pick up fast passes at about noon they were all gone and the line was crazy. I had taken my two younger sisters up with me 15 and 12 and my friend Curt brought along his 10 year old daughter we did alot of kid stuff and there were lots of things that Curt and I wanted to do (like drink..lol) without the kids so as soon as I got back I decided I wanted to go back and do an adults only trip so my friend Curt and I are going back tonight. We're staying at CSR tonight and tomorrow night we have Epcot planned for tomorrow and MK for Sunday. We only live about 2 1/2 hours south of Disney so it's not far. Previous to my past trip at the begining of the month I hadn't been to disney since I was a kid. I'm 27 now so it had been about 15 years. We stayed at Pop this past trip and we liked it but wanted to try something different this time.
I'm soo sorry about you leg it looks just awful. I hope it's doing better now, I feel your pain though because I remember when I tore all the ligaments in my ankle I was out of commission for 3 months, so I have NO idea how you're doing all of this walking. You are a trooper and good thing Marzi's nurse too! Score! lol

I'm thinking about doing a two trip combined TR. From my trip with the kids the 1st-3rd and then this upcomming trip. I just have to figure out how to use photobucket and import photos. If I start one I'll send you the link!

I was just getting ready to ask you about your leg and then I saw this update. I would have passed out if I saw my foot looking like that; I can't believe you were able to put any weight on it!

Then she said Oh My that is a very long carriage ride. "Mom said yea, one of the horses died on the way."

Oh. My. Gosh. I about peed myself at this! :rotfl2:

I know it's called Disneydetermination good word for stubborn, huh? It sounds like you really had a great time on soarin, I've yet to try it maybe next time. I love the pick-a-pearl, Dan went a little crazy he just loves to see what you get so I ended up with 5 pearl and had a beautiful pair of earrings made out of two matched ones. I wear them every day now I love them, He wants to get me more when we go for my birthday. I love your TR keep the fun coming we're reading as fast as we can!!!:surfweb:

Each man for themselves, if you lose a commrade on the mad rush to Soarin...LEAVE HIM!

People were stretching, like they were getting ready to run a marathon, Mothers were strapping their children into their strollers extra tight, "Just hold on with both hands baby."

:lmao: This is so going to be our family when we get there. :rotfl2: So so funny!

It is great that you are so close to your sister. My sister was my best friend. She passed away three years ago to cervical cancer. :sad1: No one will ever be able to take her place. We did everything together and I miss her so much. But it is awesome when I hear someone else talk about how much their sister means to them. It's one of the best relationships you will ever have. A lot of people miss out on that.

Hi Ty!

I know I am late finding your report, sorry about that. :guilty:

I have read through everything so far and you are doing great. A very humorous report and I love how you were able to take this trip with your BFF, very special. :goodvibes

she woke up and couldn't find the clothes she dropped on the floor when crawling in bed with jet lag, but then awoke again later to find her clothes being put down on the chair in the room by a complete stranger who happened to be the maid. That would be overwhelming for me too, my mom never even picked up my clothes let alone a maid

Our weather for Epcot was amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better day.

We saw a lady pick a pearly and she got twins, I would love to get twins. I think Janis did a good job picking out an ugly oyster, she cancased the tank for quite some time until she found one ugly enough for her.

Sounds good! I would love to meet you! We have plenty of time to plan something. I have been thinking of doing a PTR. I have never done one before. Oh yea, a dismeet in the works:woohoo: that will be so much fun. We'll make for sure plans once we get closer to the time and have a pretty good idea of our parks schedule, more then likely I will work around your schedule.

In my small knowledge of Disney I think they always offer free dinin gin september, I am holding on to the hope that they offer it again, so far I don't have any dining plans on my reservation and unless they offer it Dh and I will be paying OOP, per his request. We always said we would try the DXDP some day, but even on the rregular TS meal plan it's still too much food for me. But that is a good idea for when we want to take a trip someday just to experience the food.

Pick a pearl is fun, I ended up getting stingy with my money too and never went back to do it, but DH said we will do it this time, he won't let me get stingy with my money, I wouldn't even say I got stingy, I just bought so much already that I thought I should wait on a few things.
I love my ring tone too, I used to have different ringtones for each person that called me, like my son's was Black dog, my DD was Beyonce's "work it out." My sisters was "girls just wanna have fun." My Mom's was "Free bird" and my Dad's was the theme from Sanford and son, because Sanford is my maiden name. But I switched from verizon to T-Mobile and didn't want to pay for all the extra ringtones again so I chose my favorite song at the time and that is what it has been since. (wow that was long winded)

Akershus boys! Yes, too man pretty, I like some ruggedness to my men.

You really probably shouldn't have been on it!

.

I think soarin is where it actually hit my mom and Janis just how magical Disney really is, I mean they go above and beyond in the imagination department and we don't really have to imagine much at all since they do it for us.

My sister got me pearl earings when I was in her wedding, so I would love to have a necklace and ring to match it as well.

My ankle, phwessh! It just looked ugly, as long as I could walk without biting holes through my cheek I didn't let it bother me too much.

The swelling didn't go down in my leg until after I had been home for a week, the Dr. gave me a shot and sexy compression stockings and it's all good now.

I did like Akershus, the breakfast was nice but I would probably never do it again unless I was with my nieces. It was nice to experience once and that is something I can cross off my list now.

Yay thank's Ty! I'm even more excited about my trip now after reading your last installment! I loved reading your Soarin experience. I'm so excited to go check it out.

so as soon as I got back I decided I wanted to go back and do an adults only trip so my friend Curt and I are going back tonight.

I hope you got to soar your little heart out at Epcot, the parks are fun with or without kids, but both very different experiences.

Yo're so lucky to live so close to Disney, I wonder how often I would go if I lived that close?

Torn ligaments in the ankle? That is awful, my broken bones healed pretty quick, it's the ligaments that take so long, but it had been 4 months since I broke my leg and tore the ACL and TCL, that's what's still holding me up now, but it gets better everyday. Do you hurt more in cold damp weather, like can you tell from how your ankle feels weather or not it's going to rain? It seems I have most my pain on cold wet days.

Definitley send me the link if you start a report, I will be a faithful reader. and photobucket is farely easy to figure out, I am so computer dumb but I found photobucket to be easy.

I was just getting ready to ask you about your leg and then I saw this update. I would have passed out if I saw my foot looking like that; I can't believe you were able to put any weight on it!
Yea I almost passed out from laughing, honestly it wasn't super painful, just more annoying because my shoes would get tight and my skin would burn.

Oh. My. Gosh. I about peed myself at this! :rotfl2:

I'm sure Cinderella about peed herself too. Mom is a nut job!

Just found your trip...I'm hooked...Going to go back and catch up.

Thank you for reading and welcome aboard, we still have about half the journey left, so glad to have you hear.

5 pearls? Holy cow!
You've never tried soarin:scared1: girl you have not lived! The magic is going to smack you, I promise it doesn't hurt though.

Soarin iis so unbelievable awesome, I can understand the anticipation of getting ready to ride.

I am sorry to read that you have lost your sister, my heart goes out to you. Sistership is the best friendship ever, I hold my sister so dear to me I don't know what I would do without her, God bless you, I hope you are filled with tons of happy memories.

Hi Ty!

I know I am late finding your report, sorry about that. :guilty:

I have read through everything so far and you are doing great. A very humorous report and I love how you were able to take this trip with your BFF, very special. :goodvibes

Late to my TR, never! there is no late, just slightly delayed and I am so happy to have you here, I have been reading your land and sea adventure, I am waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind, I am still on your land part, but I am getting there. I think I haven't commented since the summer.

Wanted to make sure you didn't get lost in the switch over- We put up our 2nd part to our PTR and NEED you there!!

HERE!

Finally got through all the pages, I think the TR is great TY and I'm glad to hear that the leg and foot are better now. Keep going I'll check back a little later.

Took me a couple of days to read through but I finally caught up.

Love the ying/yang necklaces. I used to "wonder twin activate" all the time with my BFF growing up too.

Your foot looks awful. Reminds me of mine when I had toxemia in the last stage of one of my pregnancies.

I've done the couples only trip to WDW with a hubby that is humouring me and my love for Disney before. Might I second the opinion that afternoon naps *ahem* are the way to go. I was happy just being at WDW and Dh was happy because he was ... let's say "well rested".

Oh my goodness, I am soooooooo behind. I'm sorry I've neglected you!

I just love your ying yang neclaces. How freaking cool! I am going to have to get them when I GO IN DECEMBER! Yep, you heard correct. We are going. All 5 of us! I am so excited. But this isn't about me, it is your report.

Back to the show.

I was getting all teary eyed reading how your mother reacted to Soarin. First timers are great, specially when it's your mom!

Your poor leg, oh my goodness. When I saw it I felt bad for you. Then I laughed, uncontrollably. Just because you did!! I swear I was there with you listening to you laugh your head off.

I will try to keep up!! I'm not slacking, just busy with school!!

Hey Ty! I have fallen behind on my DIS'ing. I decided it was high time I got my butt (and the rest of me) back to school. So with school, work & family life, the DIS has been on the back burner. I am caught up and still laughing and loving my way thru your report!
