I think you are really gonna enjoy the slower pace and more romantic different perspective you get when it's just the two of you. You find yourself just taking it easy going back to the room for a quick nap if you know what I mean and just enjoying each other. That is why Dan is taking me back in May while we were there in December, My Dad ended up in the hospital and would not hear of us coming home so I spent the whole time worrying about him and not relaxing at all. We came home and he had bypass surgery and we lost him on December 16th due to an intestinal infection. I miss him terribly he loved Disney and that is something I can share with him. Sorry I wasn't gonna tell anyone but you all are my Disney family and I wanted you all to know why I've been alittle quiet lately. You guys keep me going and give me something to look forward to everyday when I get to see what you are up to and how your families are doing. Thank you for listening.

Ty, remember that Disney traditionally does Free Dining through the end of September. Last year it ended October 3rd. If your vacation starts on the last day of the promotion you can get it for your entire stay. You might have to juggle a day or two around but free food it totally worth it! Plus you get to be there for the beginning of Food and Wine Festival, which you can yuse your snack credits for. YummY!

I will try and answer everybodies posts either tomorrow or Wednesday. I just wanted to update you all quick on my future trip.
We changed the date today and it dropped the price by almost $300 dollars, and we are more likely to get free dining now, the CM on the phone said to watch for that deal and then call back to have it added to our reservation.
I am super excited and not so worried now, except for rain, major rain being hurricane season and all, but at least it won't be cold.

So now we are looking at sept25th -oct3rd.

I agree with you, Disney with just Kent is going tobe slower paced, I really want him to have fun and if I rush to do everything it will spoil it for him, he keeps saying "I'm just looking forward to a vacation with you, I don't care about Disney." Naps huh?

I'm really not a big eater, I don't do meals really, I just eat small snack like stuff throughout the day and then a simple meal at dinner, it's how I have been maintaining my weight loss, and I think my stomache shrunk from it, so I can do one meal and 2 snacks at Disney and come in way under budget, but I am still hoping for free dining because then the money we are budgeting for food will go towards souvenirs. We will be staying at Pop Century again.

AHA!!!! I switched my dates, we might run into eachother after all, when the time gets closer we whould see about a meet up. YAY? NAY?

I love Jim's hair in that picture too, he had just gotten 2 inches cut off though and alot of his curls went with it. But he is planning on joinin gthe military after graduation so he needs to get used to the breeze on his neck soon.

All caught up? I feel so bad I am still trying to get caught up on your TR, but it's a hot ticket and moves so fast. I'll keep working at it. I am enjoying it though, and it inspired me to go buy myself a coloring book, Disney no less!

The leg was a bother to me and the pictures are only going to get more gross!

I love my Disney jewelry, I was never much of a jewelry person, but now I have so much Disney jewelry that I love to mix and match with my other jewelry, I dress up for work now because of it and it makes me feel better about myself.

We were always looking down for Janis, it became our theme.

Kent and Disney don't mesh, but he loves me, he loves to make me happy and this is so huge for him to take a trip there with me.

Actually, you still might be able to get your original dates. Last year Free Dining went through October 4. So if you start your vacation on the 4th, you would still be entitled to Free DIning through the length of your trip. Also, Food and Wine usually starts the last weekend of September. So you're good either way!

I really like Pop, it's super Disneyfied, Maddy would really enjoy the bigger then life icons and all the bright colors, they have a kiddy pool but no slides or anything like that.
I would pay for a preffered room, the 60's by the hippy dippy pool is a great place, it's right by the pop shop and the buses. Hope it all works out for you, what are your dates?

First of all, I love how when you talk about taking a smoke break, you call it something different every time. Either nicotine zone, inhalation treatment, fresh air, etc.

I then saw the cutest PJ's they were like a quilt patch pair of jammie bottoms, red white blue, with mickeys on them

She asked Marzi why she hadn't bought a libation transfer apparatus and Marzi said she prefered a "manual transfer"

My leg was even more swollen then the day before, so I took some motrin which I am not supposed to take for stomache reasons but now and then won't kill me, I took antacid in hopes that it will prevent my stomache from hurting and I took hydrocodone and because hydrocodone makes me itchy I also took a benadryl, I should sleep pretty sound I thought.

Um, yeah...it's a wonder you could wake up in the morning! I hope your leg is doing better now.

We went and gave our names at Crystal Palace and were told it would be just a few minutes wait before we were called, so we hung around out front and tok pictures, we were called after about 10 minutes.

Inside the place was empty except for a few stragglers left over from breakfast. Our waiters name was Gustavo, he looked like an older more mature version of Mario Lopez, dimpled smile and all. He gave us the run down on how it all works, we placed our drink orders and then went up to get some grub.

I tried new things, even the things that looked gross, some turned out to be yummy and some turned out to be caca!
The Salmon was so good, I went back for 3rd's, the smashed taters were a big hit with all of us, I also loaded up on fresh fruit, trying to make the tummy fuller before checkingout the dessert buffet.

The first character to come around was Eayore, Momand Marzi are big Eayore lovers, Mom wanted her picture with him, Marzi just settled for a picture of him.

Mom given Eayore a little scratch under the ear.

The conversation at the table had turned to the last time Mom and I had ridden a roller coaster, I was in first grade and we were living in Worms Germany, we had gone to the Bachfish fest. That ride turned me off from rollercoasters until I was in highschool. Janis said to Mom that she might be able to handle Space Mountain, that it's practically the same as those little carnival coasters, so Mom said she would try Space Mountain with me.
I was so excited, I might get to do a thrill ride after all, I had given up the idea of coasters and whatnot for this trip because Marzi gets sick on them and Mom can't ride jerky rides, same for Janis.

Next character to come was Piglet, I love Piglet. He posed so cute for pictures.

Piglet came up behind Marzi and Janis, I think Janis was a little startled here.

Next up, my favorite Tigger, he was a little hyper this morning, I was loving it.

I had just told him that I wanted to take him home with me and stick him up on my shelf next to all of my other stuffies. I laughed when I saw the picture, he looks a little freaked out in it.

Last but by no means least was Pooh, Mom was all about Pooh and he was all about her, they interacted for quite a while, Mom being a character herself and all. I got lots of pictures of them hugging and patting eachother and fianlly they settled down for a nice normal picture.

After all the characters came through, we went up for dessert, I have to be honest, I took one of each, only tiny half portions and I shared them with everyone at the table, but I was stuffed, so when Gustavo brought out my birthday cupcake there just wasn't any room left in me, I divided it into 4 pieces, and we had a little nibble, but I felt bad, then Gustavo brought me out a card signed by all the characters and himself, he really was a great waiter, we tipped him well and left him with a Thank you card.

When we stepped outside the rain had stopped so I took the time to put socks back on, it was alittle chill but nothing like it was earlier, with warm dry feet and full bellies we headed over to spaceMountain, of course Marzi and I stopped along the way at our favorite clean air outpost.

We got to SPace Mountain, it was a 20 minute wait for stand by or we could fast pas it and come back 2 hours later, we decided to wait. While we were in line Marzi and Janis both said they were going to ride it too, I was uber excited then, I gave Marzi a set of wristbands that have pressure point balls that are supposed to help with motion sickness, hopefully this would work for her.
Once we got up closer to the building Mom read the warning signs and decided to sit it out, she didn't want to take a chance with her back and undo the surgery she had, plus it would just ruin the week if she were in pain, so she said she would shop around and wait for us in the space mountain dump shop.

Once we were in the building it seemed the line moved so much faster, I like that they added games to keep us busy while we wait but too many times I got into the game and then the people behind us would yell for me to move up. That is not my bad, that bad is for Disney, they added the games, I was just doing what was expected of me and played them!

I don't like the refurb inside, I liked it before when the sky was more black and spacious, it was cooler looking. The guy behind us in line kept telling us about all the major changes and what it used to be like, I really wanted him to quit talking, he kept interupting us. Janis came to life in this line, she was people watching with us and commented on things we saw that were funny, when I say things I mean the way some of the people were dressed. There was a lady with a huge hair do, we just knew it was going to get caught on something while on the ride, we could only pray that it didn't rip her head off and it come flying back at us. That would just ruin my day ya know!

Finally we are next in line, and Janis was telling the girls already seated that the ride goes upside down so hold onto your purse extra tight, the girl believed her and starts yelling to her friend ahead of her.

Shaniqua! shaniqua! you said this ride didn't go upside down, you a liar Shaniqua, you a fat liar!

Janis told her she was just kiding but I don't know if the girl heard her or not.

It was now our turn to board, Janis took the front, Marzi in the middle and I brought up the rear. I was the @$$ of the rocket ship!

Space Mountain itself did not disapoint! Janis had her hand sup the whole time, I ducked the whole time, I always feel too tall for that ride, I could hear MArzi screaming and Janis laughing and Wahooeying, it was a blast, I really like that they now take your picture on it. We looked at ours, Janis and Marzi looked normal, I however had no neck, I don't know where my neck disappeared to for the ride, it came back whent he ride was over but I literally looked like a turtle with it's head poking a little ways out of it's shell and for that reason I didn't buy the ride picture and I forbid anyone else to buy it too.

Mom was waiting for us in the shop, she had found her Tink hoodie but hadn't purchased it, she sa a few others she liked and needed my help in deciding, I told her to go with the lime green tink, then as I was trying to shop my Mom started with her "Ty, look, Ty come see, Ty, Ty Ty,!" I wanted to change my name.
At the checkout I had to talk Mom into buying the tote they offered if you spent so much she kept saying no, finally I said if you don't get it I will, and then she bought it. I'm sure she has it stuffed to capacity with useless carp by now!
We left the shop and stopped for a potty break, and then for a fresh air treatment. It had started to rain lightly, Marzi wasn't feeling too well, I guess the wristbands didn't work for her. I told her a fountain soda would help with the queaziness. So we went to Caseyscorner and Mom and Janis went next door to shop. We got the christmas souvenir mugs filled with coke, I love my mug so much, I take it to work with me every day.
After we got our sodas we went to find Mom and Janis, the stores were so crowded because everybody had ducked into them to get out of the major rain, it was hard to move let alone find janis or mom in the sea of people. plus you have to look down to find Mom and even further down to find Janis.

Finally after what seemed days we did find them waiting outside.

We decided it was too cold to do anything more and since it was extra magic hours we would come back later if the wether turned a little nicer.

The walk to the bus stop hurt bad, it seems like while I was at the park and having fun my leg didn't bother me too much but once we left the park the pain would come. go figure!

Mom asked me if I was limping, I said no,
"Ty, it looks like oyu're limping."
"No, Mom that is just my cool swagger!"

A bus was waiting for us and it wasn't crowded, we all got seats together, Janis and Marzi were carrying on and laughing so hard they were crying, Mom and I wanted to know what was so funny but Janis said Mom couldn't hear what they were talking about because it was about her. I know that hurt Moms feelings, because my feelings were hurt for mom too. Were they making fun of her? were they laughing at her, telling jokes about her, I asked Marzi to please just tell me and she whipsered in my ear that "Janis had said Mom was innocent and didn't know what BFE was but finally told her and Mom was flabergasted, but what was so funny was Janis then said , I'm going to teach her what Fubar is."
I could see the humor in that and I told Mom after we got off the bus tha tthey weren't laughing at her, and I explained what was said.
You culd tell Mom felt better about that, "So I'm just precious and sweet and innocent?"
Yes Mom, you are!

We got up to our room and all of us just kind of collapsed onto our beds, I took my wet socks off and got out some dry ones, my leg was really looking nasty now.

That is one groos turkey leg, I don't know who said it, but it was said. It did look gross and it stung, the skin really hurt and I was expecting it at any minute to just rip apart, but it didn't.
Marzi said it needed to be elevated and called down to housekeeping to get extra pillows, she then did some kind of massage thing and it hurt but felt good at the same time, wearing socks had kept my ankle from swelling too bad but it kind of just pushed everything up to my knee.
She worked on my leg for about 30 minutes and then did my other leg too. Marzi is so nurturing and caring, I love that girl, she is alot like my sister Bo, if Bo were there she would have done the same thing for me, and Bo and Marzi ended up having several phone conferences with eachother about my leg, both of them being in the medical field and all I guess it was only natural to want to fix me, ooh and they love me, that had alot to do with it as well.

Mom and Janis decided they didn't want to go back for Extra magic Hours, they were done for the day. Marzi and I wanted to take advantage of every minute, so we said we would head out later.
We watched some T.V. for a bit, I got out my blanket and Marzi and I snuggled up under it.

Mom had said that it reminded her of when we were kids and would always snuggle on the floor with a blanket and watch tom and Jarry after school. Janis said we didn't look happy, we told her we were, she said you're not even smiling so we gave her a big smile!

Mom was dozing off but kept waking up. Janis had Marzi and I in stitches with all her funnyness. she was just on a role just telling jokes and carrying on. We got on the topic of pain meds and stuff and she pulled out a big bag of her prescription pills and said look through here and if there's anyting that will get you high take some.
I don't remeber the conversation verbatum and how we got to that point, all I remeber was it was funny and I laughed so mcuh it hurt. Of course we know she was just kidding and Marzi and I did not partake of Janis' pills, besides I had my own pills, they worked jsut fine for me, but seriously between Me, Marzi My mom and Janis we could have opened up a full pharmacy. Did we ever swap or share?
I'll never teeeeeeellllllll!

Well that sounds really nice, just a get away for the two of you. From reading your TR I can see that you and your hubby have a great relationship and that is awesome, I love it when couples actualy want to be together, Kent and I have some married friends and all they do is bicker and pick at eachother it's no fun hanging out with them, and then people pick at us for being so lovey with eachother, I can't get my friends to understand that not only do I love my husband bu tI like him and love hanigng out with him. I am really excited for our trip, he really is going out on a limb for me because he doesn't care for disney at all, but I know that with it being just us he will be able to enjoy the trip this time, He was a total turd on our first trip.

Ya know you and I do not live too far from eachother, I am like 40 minutes from Baltimore, maybe....someday....we might get a trip where we can all meet up and just completely own Disney!

I just found out on Wednesday what that means!
Poor Mom, we never did tell her about FUBAR! she blushes so bad when we teach her a dirty word, really Mom isn't a total angel she can cuss, I have heard it, I learned from her really, but it is funny when she is clueless about something and then gets all bright red when she learns the truth.

Oh my gosh, no wonder the skin hurt so bad!

The main thing that bothered me was I couldn't wear shorts or capri's on the warm days for fear of grossing somebody out, including myself!

I am so ready to start my PTR for my september trip, but I want to finish this one first, I hate to rush through it but since I have a little time right now I am going to give another update.

Marzi and I got dressed up as warm as we could, it wasn't raining, not even drizzel, just really cold but at least I could wear socks and have warm feet, my wooly crocs were dried out by now so that was a big help too. Marzi borrowed my Mom's winter coat and gloves and brought umbershoots just incase.

The bus was pretty full when we got there and it was standing room only but we went ahead and got on that one, stand on the bus and get there sooner or stand in line and get there later, either way you are standing so whatever right?

We get to MK, go through all the hoopla of bag check and finger scan and then we are in looking at the castle, we had a mision, we wanted to find the duck, so we headed straight to haunted mansion. We saw a couple trying to get a picture of them with the castle they asked a few people who actually ignored them, so Marzi offered to take their pic and they were so grateful, then in turn they offered to take ours so we took them up on the offer.

we headed through the castle and over to HM, it wasn't a long wait, we got on right away, and that kid from earlier, the one who posed in the picture with Janis was still working, by now it had been 11 hours, I don't know if that was straight or if he had a long break during the day, but wow that is a long time to be in one place, he was still in character though, although he did look very tired in his eyes.
Marzi and I searched and searched for the duck, we looked at every chair there was too look at, no dang duck, we didn't see the grim reaper either. so once we got off the ride we jumped back in line. While I was in line I got a text from Billie asking where I was, I told her and she said that she was leaving the park to go eat but maybe we could meet up fro Spectro Magic, I said Text me when you get back.
So on the ride again trying to find the dang duck, Where is that dang flammet duck Marzi kept repeating it over and over. We tried a 3rd time, no duck, where the EF is the duck, of course when you say the actual EF word it rhymes duck and it's more fun.

We were going to try for a fourth time but everybody else in MK decided to get in line for HM, it was backed way out and all around, so we said we would come back later.

We then went to our favorite fresh air treatment center. We were in deep discussion about the missing duck when a lady came up to us and asked if she could buy a couple cigarettes off one of us, Marzi said no, but I will give you a couple, the girl insisted on paying for them, Marzi said she wouldn't hear of it, but in the furture pay it forward to someone else. The girl looked surprised and said she would always remember that. (umm did she not see the movie?) anywho we finished our treatment and went in look of food, we were thinking pizza maybe, then I told her we would be getting pizza for lunch the next day, then we remembered Caseys Corner from earlier, those corn dog nuggets looked good, so we went over there. The line was long, I'm thinking once everybody got off of HM they all came to Casey's Corner for some hot dogs, really, this line was astronomically long, the line was outside and winding around the building, we had nothing better to do but wait.

There were some ladies from Jersery or close to it in front of us, big hair, bighoop earings, big stelletos, let me say I am impressed with anybody who can do Magic Kingdom in stelletos, we were enjoying listening to their conversation about heya (hair) the one lady had gotten her sons heya done and the baba's , it had cala and glitta, (color and glitter) he was afraid to lay his head back in the stroller for fear of messing it up.

"It's ok bubby, lay ya head biack, don't wahreeee about the strollah, just lay ya head biack."
Then turns to her friend, "Oh my Gawd, he's so wahreed about messin up the strollah with the cala and glitta he won't lay his head biack, he keeps fawlin asleep sittin up," C'mawn Bubby, lay ya head biack."

then her friend joins in encouraging bubby to lay his head back, it was very intrigueing .

Mamma: Lay it biack
Mammas friend: Yea, c'mawn lay it biack
Mamma: It's okay, lay it biack
Mamma's friend: lay biack

Marzi and I start giggling, it was loud and uncontrollable, I so wanted to join in on that and convince bubby it was ok to lay his head biack!

Then you know how they have the line to stand in and then the exit line, well this group came up and got in the exit line to order their food, we tried to tell them that wasn't the line but they didn't speak English and didn't understand us, they were getting so mad that everybody else was being waited on and not them.

Then the lay ya head biack ladies tried to explain to them that the line they were in was wrong.

"Youse ar in the rooung line, that's fa aftah ya get ya food, ya blawkin people from gettin eout."

after a while they must have either figured it out and went and got in line, or they just gave up and went somewhere else.

it was our turn to order now. Marzi and I didn't discuss what we wanted, and the exchange with the CM was so funny, Marzi and I always complete eachothers sentences or we say the same thing at the same time.

CM: do you want a hot dog or corndog nuggets?
Both of us: Nuggets
CM: French fries or apple sticks
Both of us: French fries
CM: Drink?
Both of us: Coke
CM: Dessert, do you want a brownie, or cracker jacks?

Marzi and I look at eachother, our eyes get huge we yell, ooooohhhhhh Cracker Jacks.

The CM just bust out laughing, Marzi and I giggle and link and arms, and again we say we can't believe we found eachother.

We get our food and actually found a table inside, we got there just as a family was leaving, table finding can get viscious, and I have learned that when you see a a family leaving a table you have to put your food down and claim it before they actually leave, I ask first if they are leaving and when they say yes, my tray goes right down on the table and I wait for them to get all dressed in their coats and what not, I even help them clear their table.

Marzi and I sat down and a girl came over and said that her family was waiting for that table, I looked at the lady who had given the table to me and she shrugged and said she didn't know about it, so I still claimed the table but told them we wouldn't be needing the other chairs if they wanted to take them they could but they didn't want them.

Marzi and I dug into our food, it was so good, I am a fan of Caseys Corner now and will visit the place on my next trip.
I dipped my fries in the cheese, and my nuggests in a ketchup mustard mix. it was so good, did I already say that?

While we were eating another table opened up and the girl grabbed it, she spread out all of her belongings to save the seats and then about 10 minutes after that her family showed up with their food. The girl starts telling her Dad how I stole the table from her, I wasn't sure if I should say something then or not, I chose not. But the family couldn't let it go, they talked about me being rude, and robbing them, and how "That girl is so lucky we found another table."
Finally I had enough, "Really!? I mean really!? Dude you're at Disney, was this table the one attraction you came to see? Do you want to switch tables now?" They shut up. Marzi giggled "I'm high fiving you with my eyes right now."

We finished up our delicious food and headed back to our favorite "zone" we called our hubbys, while I was on the phone with Kent, wishes started, and even though we didn't have a view from in front of the castle we still got to see the fireworks in all their glory. I stayed on the phone with Kent during the whole wishes display, he said he really wanted to go to DIsney with me, I laughed that off and told him not to tease me, he said really, if we could go to Disney and do the parks all relaxed like you are doing now, not really having a set plan, I would like that.
I reminded him how much he hated Disney the time he went.
He reminded me that I stormed the parks like a banchee and HAD to see everything. (which I didn't get to see everything, still haven't seen everything)
SO I said fine, maybe someday you and I can go to Disney together, maybe after Reese graduates highschool.
Kent wanted something sooner, he didn't want to wait 2 1/2 years to go.
I dropped it because I didn't want to get excited for something that would never happen.
After Wishes Marzi and I headed over to POTC and it was walk on, we were watching for hidden mickeys, didn't really see any new ones, just the same old one from the first time we rode, we didn't believe in George, we sang it, chanted it, yelled it, even danced while singin git, but George didn't care if we believed in him or not, the ride continued to work.
I had to point out to Marzi the swash buckler who yells, "Give me the red head." she loved that.
when the ride was over we played in the dump shop for a bit.

I know, gross, bu tI didn't have any floss with me.


We decided to try and get a ride on buzzlight years ranger spin or whatever, the crowds were dying down and it was prety easy to manuever around now, but once we got to tomorrow land we figured out that people hadn't left the park, they just went to ride buzz, the standby line was a 50 minute wait, I knew we would be back so we decided to skip it.

I was getting cold and my leg was really hurting so we made the desion to head back to the resort.

We did stop for a few photo ops here and there but really wanted to wait and do the cute stuff with Mom and Janis on the last day when we would all be wearing matchin shirts.

As we got to the font of the park Spectro Magic was starting, I asked Marzi if we could watch for a bit, I always wanted to see it and this would be my only chance, she said sure, so we watched, it wasn't as glamorous and cool and awe inspiring as I thought it would be, there was way too much time in between floats, then I saw someone I never expected to see at Disney, the ex husbands wife!!! Even though she had died her hair and it wasn't purple (she claims it's auborn) I recognized her right away and pointed her out to Marzi.

Ok so it wasn't really the ex's new wife, but it does look exactly like her, don't think of me as being bitter, really I am not, I actually came out ahead once I dropped that loser, I am just a little ticked off that while I was with the loser I had to maintain a certain weight or he would leave me, I would starve myself to stay skinny, I dieted through my pregnancy with Reese to the point of being sick, and then he goes and marries a woman of ample weight and proceds to tell me that love is blind.
REALLY!!!!!??????????
Alright I am over that now and moving on.
We didn't stay for all of Spectro, it was too cold and the parade was taking too long, I mean long minutes of nothing to look at while waiting for the next float, so we just left and I can say I have seen spectro, not all of it, but who is really paying attention to details anyway?

Gotta go now, but I will update again in a day or so, what do you have to look forward to?
