What if I want to add on to these tickets at a later date?

Got our tickets from Disney the other day in the mail. (Strange how they won't ship a gift card to a PO Box, but they will tickets) They are four-day adult base tickets. If something happens and we don't get to go in February I know we could use them for a later trip. But would I be able to add a extra day or so onto them, or the water park feature onto them and if so, how much would they charge me? Just the difference of the going rate for that add on at that time?

You will have no trouble adding on to the tickets. Yes, it will be the difference in the add on rate for what you need then.

You can have up to 10 park days on your tickets. You can add Park Hopper, Water Park, Non-Expiring. Your charge would be the current cost of the upgrade and 6.5% tax. PLUS, if there was any ticket price increase(s) between your original ticket purchase date and your upgrade date, you would also owe that.
