What if I want Magical Express for only one person in our party?

We have never used Magical Express before. My wife and I would drive and our adult daughter would fly into Orlando. We would like to meet at the WDW resort. We usually book a package. Can I arrange Magical Express for just one person? Also, we live in different states. Can I have the Magical Express materials sent to her even though I am booking the package? Thanks for the help.

No problem reserving Magical Express for just one family member.

Usually DME will send the materials only to the one booking the package. But you should be able to mail or fax or scan/email the materials.

In my experience, Disney will mail the DME letter and luggage tags only to the address of the person booking. So, if your DD will need a luggage tag, you should expect to mail that to her. You don't need to have a luggage tag to have DME pick it up, but it makes it more clear and easy.

There is absolutely no problem having only part of your party use DME or having different parties arriving on different flights.

If for some reason you are unable to mail the DME materials to your daughter, she has two options. She can either pick up her bag from baggage claim herself and take it with her on DME (they will store under the bus) OR she can give her luggage claim ticket to the desk at DME and they will find and pull her luggage from baggage claim, and deliver to her room. They will scan her magic band to board DME.
