What if I dont get my confirmation of my DP stay

by the time I leave for the vacation?
We are leaving for SSR April 18th and I just called MS and she said they are "BEHINNNNDD". She said it just like that
I would hate to leave without written confirmation. Suggestions?

I've used DP's twice without any problems. By the time you leave, they should at least be able to you give you a ressie number.
How long ago did you make the ressie?

FYI: I made our ressie with DP's on 2/26 and just received the confirmation yesterday.

In that past, I've added the DP to an existing reservation and did not receive a confirmation mailing even though I've requested one. So, I'd make darn sure that you actually have the dining plan before you leave for vacation.

We FINALLY got our email confirmation Sun for our DP stay that I booked months ago. I want to say I booked in late Jan early Feb. Just for some reference...

I assume you mean Developer Points and not Dining Plan.

I got my confirmation by email on 3/19 after making a reservation on 3/1. I think they are catching up. If you asked for email and not snail mail, you should get it in plenty of time. But I would still phone them every week or so and see if they can give you the reservation number over the phone.

Same problem here. I made the reservation like 3 weeks ago for April 19. I've got a reservation number but no confirmation notice. So do you think they're catching up and is it just DP ressies that are taking longer?

The big problem seems to be that the DP reservations are done on a completely different computer. That's why there is always a delay when you call about a DP. The CM has to physically get up and go to another computer.
From an accounting standpoint, I would guess that they have to somehow make some sort adjustment from Disney Development's accounts to the Vacation Club accounts.
Obviously, they have a set of checks that have to be done before issuing a ressie number and they have limited staff to verify the ressies.

I emailed DVC and they sent me a copy of all my reservation information within a day. I remember when the heck I booked.. I think it was 2-3 weeks ago.

I was able to get the reservation number by phone and the actual letter came a few days later. I wouldn't worry..you should be fine!
