I am up by 5:45 each morning....but that is to get myself ready for work and ds ready for school and breakfast made. We leave the house at 6:20...so never doing online res before I don't know if I will have time to be online at 6 am to make them. If not, then I will not have internet access until after 5:30 pm that night. How long does it take to make them and will I really not get the times I want if I can't do it until the evening? Just wondering...thank you!!!

There are very, very, VERY few reservations that you will not be able to get on the evening of the first day your window opens.

Are you going the week after Christmas, or on July 4? Do you want 6pm at Le Cellier, and 7:15 just won't do, or the Chef's Table at Viki & Al's? If not, you should be just fine.

Nope..we are going Sept 1st to the 8th. No signature dining and 2 character dining (Chef Mickey on a tues for dinner and Crystal palace on Sunday for dinner). Other then that...mostly run of the mill that a cc might not even be required. Just with all the reading of "need to make adr's early the first day it opens up" is kinda stressing me out. I know it shouldn't.....but hey..it's Disney and Food...the two best things in the world..LOL

I had no problems at all making most of mine last Sunday when my 180+10 opened. I have been checking online ever since and there are still slots available either side of most of my bookings. It seems really quiet compared to previous trips.

Yeah, that's pretty much a myth that started because of the rush to CRT, back when the princesses were only for breakfast and when it was only 20 bucks. Used to be there were some places you needed to call the first morning back when the window was 90 days, but at 180 days, there really are *very* few places and dates when it's an issue.

Relax and enjoy.

And if you try for a place and there's nothing open, in your case it's going to be because some locations don't even have their spots in the system that far in advance, or because you might be trying for a place that will be down for rehab. Both of those happen sometimes. In the former case, it almost certainly means it's not a high-demand location and you just need to check back every couple of days, and in the latter case it wouldn't have mattered how early you tried to book.

Thanks!! DH was "supposed" to pick the resturants 2 weeks ago and he never looked at the link I sent. So this past Fri I picked up a book (as in book inhand might have helped move him along) but it didn't. So now he has 2 days to look for me to book when I get home Thurs night....lol

I absolutely agree with what everyone has said but my suggestion if you really want a specific time at a specific restaurant i'd try to do the 6 am log in but don't stress over it. I too was able to get most of what i wanted when i wanted them on the last few trips but last September i could not for the life of me get le cellier and it wasn't possible for us to eat at 9 pm; so we had to go with our second choice which we loved anyway but it was a bummer not to get that; so just be prepared. :-) It's all good in disney though!!!!

If there are certain things that you must do at a certain time or certain character meals, maybe consider booking those really quickly that morning. It only takes a few minutes. Otherwise you will be fine later in the evening.

There are still plenty of options for our upcoming trip and we've got just about 60 days left.

When are you going?
And where are you from in WV? I live in Ohio but near WV.

we are going sept 1-8th....so march 1st we can book adr's. I live about 20 mins north of Charleston...so we are not too far from OH..in southern OH that is. =-)

We are actually flying out of Charleston for our trip. We live about 1/2 way between Pittsburgh and Columbus but both had flights too high. I searched and found one out of Charleston (only about 45 more minutes) for $180 total with fees.

Do you fly out of there too? Or have you ever? If so, how is the airport there?

Also, if you don't get a reservation right away, don't give up trying at a later date. For last Sept. I didn't try to book Tusker House until about 4 months before and it was booked but I kept going back every so often and a few days before we left I snagged an 800 time! (and someone else got lucky with Chef Mickey's when I cancelled that in trade)

I think you'll be fine.
I did mine about 3 months out for our end of April trip and had no issue getting everything I wanted, including an 8:05 ressie for CRT. I'd just do them when you get home. :)
