If I buy some points on the resale market, and the purchase includes points that must be used by August 1, do I run the risk of forfieting the points because I won't be able to get a reservation? :p :p :p :p :p ;) ;)

Possibly, but summer is not the highest use time. The chances of finding availability somewhere is pretty good....if you can take a vacation by then. The biggest problem you have is closing in time. If you close in a month or a little longer, you don't have much time to plan.

You could also try and get the owner to use his "once in a lifetime" banking option. If the points were already banked from last year, you will not have that option to exp[lore. You should explore that option right away, if the owner is not aware of this, it may help him with whoever buys the points.

ClarkG: (I love that name too!): We bought a resale with a lot of points that had to be used by the end of September. We knew we wouldn't be able to go this summer to WDW so we deposited them with II. We now have until September 30, 2003 to go someplace with II. At least the points don't get lost and we will have paid vacation someplace. We have not decided where to go yet. Good luck.:D

Interval International. You can trade a week at Disney for a week at other resorts around the world based on availability. You deposit a week at a Disney resort, then you can request a week at 1000's of other places. We would normally rather go to Disney but the circumstances really gave us no choice. Now we have something different to look forward to.:D

That's extremely cool. Where can I get a list of II properties?

You've been really helpful. Thanks
