What if Disney cancels your FastPass?

Hi everyone- we had an Enchanted Tales with Belle Fast Pass scheduled for 6 pm. Then the park hours changed (closing went from 8 pm to midnight), and our FastPass was rescheduled by Disney for 8 pm. Which would be fine, except we were hoping to watch HEA that night and have dinner scheduled for 8:30 for my older daughter and I (while hubby takes our 18 month old back to hotel after the fireworks). Unfortunately 8 pm is now the earliest FastPass I can grab for Enchanted Tales. Would it be worthwhile calling Disney to see if they can somehow release an earlier fastpass or should I just cut my losses and arrange a FastPass for something else? Thanks!

I would call. You scheduled in good faith. Just assuming you were ok with the change is ridiculous. IMO opinion they owe you a 6 PM FP or an anytime FP you can use at 6.
 

Yes, I would try to call as well. The only time I have ever had FPs cancelled or changed on me is when a ride breaks down right before or during my return window.
 
I'd definitely call about it and let them know your circumstances. That's so strange that they would do that though...
 
Yeah, that is weird. Usually if they reschedule you or whatever you get one of those magic anytime Fast Passes, enabling you to go whenever (and to whatever excepting a few restrictions usually).

I find it really odd they would give change and give you a LATER fastpass because they EXTENDED the hours? I can understand if hours were cut short.

When is this trip? (How soon?) ..(Because it also seems odd that all Enchanted Tales fast passes would be gone until 8:00 pm)
 
No explanation as to why....
Our trip is in 10 days-the fastpasses were for the first day of our trip which is supposed to be the busiest day (TouringPlans 7/10). They seemed to be extending the fastpass intervals for that day (our other fastpass for Rapunzel meet and greet was from 7-7:30, and was extended to 7-8) so that is why I wondered about it having something to do with the hours being changed. I received an Alert email from Disney when the FastPass was changed but didn't realize that all earlier Enchanted Tales fastpasses had been distributed until I went to look.
I agree it's strange. Perhaps a weird computer blip? In any case thankfully calling seems to have helped out our schedule.
