Hi,

Just curious if us lowley renters are "entitled" to any discounts after we check in???:guilty: THANKS FOR THE INFO....

"Entitled" - No.

But you may get some, such as free valet parking and free internet. Just don't count on it, and think of it as a bonus if you do.

You will definitely get the on-site Disney perks like ME, EMH, and free parking at the parks.

Thanks....the "Entitled" was more of joke:confused3 Soooooooo...I guess the dining discount is only for the "blue carders"

DVC guest get free parking at the parks???? That is way cool....thats 12 dollars a day saved right there:cool1:

Staying at a DVC resort is not much different than staying at other WDW resorts. You can use ME, you get a parking pass for your car to park at the theme parks for free, you can charge to your room, you can send your packages to your resort instead of carrying them back yourself.

But DVC perks are only for DVC members. More and more frequently they ask for the blue member card.

Thanks Deb...guess thats one more check mark for "buy" column in my rent vs buy into worksheet :thanks:

Just remember that the only thing that you are guarenteed when you buy DVC is that you will be able to use your points at your home resort. Everything else, such as being able to stay at different DVC resorts, discounts, etc. can be taken away at any time.

So I have been reading with regard to the point chart changes for 2010, we are looking to buy into AKL but are going to hold off until we are sure. Thanks

That's correct. You will probably be asked for your membership card if you use the DVC dining discount.

I have never had to show my member card for perks.

If you are a DVC member they will probably put that on your room key and that will be good enough to get some of the DVC member perks.

Worked at ESPN Zone last visit. (not sure they still offer any perks)
