What have you heard people screaming in WDW on rides?

The first time I took me then 7dd on TOT she grabbed my arm as soon as we sat down. She then proceeds to yell "please don't let it work."The woman sitting next to her thought this was hillarious. She didn't.

We were on a trip to the World with some very dear friends back in the early 80's. His wife and my husband would not ride Big Thunder Mountian, so he and I decided to do it together and leave the "stick in the muds" behind. We got into the car and started around the first curve and my companion started saying very quietly, almost to himself, "Sweet Jesus". As the ride continued, his voice got louder and louder till at the last curve, he was screaming, "SWEET JESUS" so loud that his wife heard him and when we got off the ride, she proceeded to chastise him for saying that with kids on the ride with him! He turned politely to his wife and said,"I started saying a prayer at the beginning of the ride and got louder because I didn't think He was hearing me"!!!!!

While not on a ride, I thought this was funny. I was working at Stitchs Great Escape and I was in one of the chambers. Right at the point where it first gets dark, we all heard one little boy of about 8 or 9 start screaming "He's right behind me, isn't he?!?" over and over. He did it again during the next dark period and when the shoulder harnesses started moving, I think he doubled his volume.

My DH and I were on Splash Mountain a couple years ago, actually during MNSSHP, and we were in the front log, right behind us were a teenage boy and his little brother (I'm guessing about 5-6 yo)behind them were their parents. The ride starts up and everything is fine, until we hit the first little hill, the little boy starts getting scared and his parents and brother keep telling him he's already ridden that ride a couple times that day! He saying that he's scared and can't feel his hands, feet...the older brother is trying to calm him down....as we get ready to go down the big hill, the little guy yells out "I LOVE YA BROTHER"! :scared1: It was the funniest thing we heard the entire trip! My husband I and still say that to each other! :lmao:

Riding Mission:Space on our girls only trip, my already green sisters at first were not amused when I yelled "I don't want to barf on Mars!". Later they wouldn't let me live it down, and threatened to put that on a t-shirt.

A few years ago we went to Animal Kingdom with some friends who live in florida. They had a son, Chase, who was about 3 and we went to go see Festival of the Lion King. We get inside, sit down, and when the lights dim he keeps screaming in this adorable baby voice "This is not a good idea! This is not a good idea!" and was screaming something about a scary dinosaur. :confused3 I was trying so hard not to laugh, because he was just so pitiful!

The first time we went on SM, I was so nervous for my then 8 year old son, and throughout the ride in the dark I kept shouting JESSE ARE YOU OKAYYYYYYYYYYY?!!!!, and someone yelled back SHUT UP!

This is a little different, but once on Haunted Mansion, my son was in another car and I hear him shout out I SMELL PEE!

Not at Disney, and not any words....At Islands of Adventure on Dr. Doom. The seats are 4 across, two young girls maybe 14 & 10 did not want to be on the ends, so they sat in the middle and DW on I were on each outside. I sat next to the 10yo.

For those that don't know, Dr. Doom is a vertical launch tower ride, shoots you straight up then bounces you down.

The young girls was very nervous, but when the ride shot up, she reached out and grabbed my arm extremely tight. She doesn't know me from Adam, and is streaming horribly. She was VERY scared.

Later in the day, I noticed I had 4 finger print size bruises on my arm. Poor thing must have been terrified.

I had the same thing happen on Soarin' but the person sitting next to me grabbing my arm was probably a 65 year old man with his family.

Soarin'. The CM told them to be quiet and not to scream. It was just high schoolers thinking they were funny. They weren't - they were annoying.

Oh, I hate this. I have no problem with people screaming because they're scared (I'm probably screaming too) or doing it once to be funny (cause I'll think it's funny).

But I just HATE it when there's a bunch of high school or middle school kids who think screaming at the top of their lungs for long periods of time during an obviously non-scary moment think it's funny or cool. Gets on my last everlasting nerve.

I had a completely "non Disney" moment a few years ago while at DL - it was early summer and the park was full of kids on their end of year school trips or something. We had endured the screaming on almost all of the "dark" rides for most of the trip, but on our last day we were in Haunted Mansion at the part where the musical instruments dance in front of you. A bunch of girls started screaming at the top of their lungs, would stop to laugh among themselves and would start screaming anew. I finally had had it and yelled "SHUT UP!!! You are not as cool as you think you are!!!!" There was dead silence and then laughter from everyone around us with some clapping. We didn't hear any more screaming for the rest of the ride.

My dd was 5 at the time of our first trip to Disney. We were on the Pirates of the Caribean ride, and she became absolutely terrified of all the pirates, crying and wanting to get off the boat. We finally saw an exit sign up ahead, and pointed it out to her so that she could see the ride was over.
Well, on every single ride after that, the first thing she would do is look for the exit signs- just in case she needed to make a quick escape from a scary ride!

When we were at HM last month, there was a family with a couple of small children, probably about 5 &7, who had never been before. When we all entered the stretching room, you could tell these little kids were already very SCARED! Well, the lights went out, it was pitch black, and then when the lights came back on a cast member had positioned himself practically nose to nose with the older kid- who TOTALLY freaked out with the most amazingly horrifying scream! I felt bad for the poor kid , but otoh, it was pretty funny, too!

My 7 year old son and I were in line with a woman and her daughter for Mission Space (before the green/orange choices). This was their first time riding and they were a bit apprehensive. We found ourselves boarding with them. I assured them that the ride would be fine as long as no one pressed "THIS" button, and I pointed to one of the bigger buttons within reach of my son. Of course, I knew there was no way my son was NOT going to press it, and sure enough he must have pressed it 10 times. In fact, he and her daughter were pushing all the buttons. The look on the woman's face was priceless. She could not say anything. I handed her my barf bag and told her she'd probably need 2 of them now. She started screaming and asked me which button stopped the ride.

Speaking of the barf bags on MS- as you know they seat 4 persons to a pod. DD and I were in a pod with 2 other people whom we didn't know. After we were all strapped in and the CM announced where the barf bags were located, we heard a very annoyed voice saying " if anyone pukes in this ride I will effing kill them!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Ya'll are killing me with this.
A couple of years ago, we had a mini family reunion at WDW. My 65 y/o mother went on Teamboat Springs at BB after my DH assured her it was a family ride. She screamed the whole way down and at the end she said " You lied to me. If you weren't already fixed I would take care of it right now!" Mind you she was laughing as she said this. I could hardly get out of the raft I was laughing so hard.

Riding Mission:Space on our girls only trip, my already green sisters at first were not amused when I yelled "I don't want to barf on Mars!". Later they wouldn't let me live it down, and threatened to put that on a t-shirt.

Oh my god, that should be the full name of the ride:

Mission: Space
or I don't want to Barf on Mars!

:rotfl2:

Okay, not at WDW, but this is one of the funniest of these type stories I know.

I once was on a plane flight. There were two women sitting across the aisle from me who had obviously never been on a plane before. They were very nervous beforehand.

As soon as the pilot hit the engines to take off, one of the women started screaming at the top of her lungs: "HELP ME JESUS! HELP ME JESUS!"

funny story, although not at disney. i live in new jersey and we have great adventure here in the summer. so i was on batman the ride, its a roller coaster. goes upside down, steep drops, corkscrews, and an overall 'big boy' rollercoaster.

Oh MY GOD - I also have a non-Disney story about this same rollercoaster...from my own mouth! I was waiting in line with my soon to be SIL and another friend talking about screaming on rollercoasters. I love coasters, & told them how I never scream. We get on it, and for some unexplicable reason...yes, I screamed the whole way! Still don't know why and of course they still bust on me about it!

We were also coming back one trip with my SIL and nephew, who had just turned 4. We were on the plane and starting to bank as we were landing in Providence, RI. Thank God the plane was noisy, because my nephew screams " WE"RE GOING DOWN!!!!!" - not a "we're landing"...but a "we're crashing" yell. We lost it! :rotfl2: but were grateful only a few people heard it (and were laughing!).

Last year we were in line for SM and a young girl and her grandma were directly behind us. Grandma did NOT want to ride but her granddaughter did. I invited her to ride with us, and I'd put her between my daughter and myself so she'd feel safe. With that, grandma high-tailed it. So, we get on the ride, and the car starts going up the first hill and our new friend starts SCREAMING as if she could/would/should wake the dead - and proceeded to stretch her lungs to the limit for the duration. Well, when we got off, the little sweetie (and believe me, she was beyond adorable) turns to me and said "in case you didn't know, I'm the one who was screaming!!" I turned to her and said "in case you didn't know, I'm the one who was LAUGHING at you!!"

Last trip my parents rode Expedition Everest with my husband and me. They were seated behind us. As we were going backwards I heard my Dad wailing: WHHHHHYYY did I go on this ride???? I'M OOOOOOLLLLLDDD!!!

Needless to say, that was their first and last time on EE.

I thought you should know that this had me laughing for at least a full minute.
:rotfl:
That's hilarious!
Thanks for brightening my day.
