On the DDP. I've never eaten there (not even sure where it is except in DTD). But I'm thinking of trying it next trip. So what all did people get for a meal? Any recommendations for a first timer?

We ate there for the first time in October and it was the most awesome food I have ever had, great service as well.

I had the Butternut Squash Soup, Pumpkin Ravioli and the Flourless Chocolate Cake and am drooling just thinking about going there again when we head back in a few weeks.:cool1:

Thanks to all who reviewed and shared their pictures of the DW food as I used that info to plan our 3 WEEKS of meals. Few disappointments were to be had. :lovestruc

I LOVE Wolfgang Puck Express:thumbsup2 Last month, I had the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla and it was one of my favorite meals from the whole trip. Everything is so fresh and well-made. Enjoy:wizard:

Go go go you will love it

The Wolfgang Puck Express that is on the counter service list is located at the marketplace end of DTD. The location at Westside was not on the plan last Sept so be careful to go to the right one. we ate there this past Wednesday and had bar-b-que chicken pizza, mashed potatoes, and a pasta dish that my DH said was very good. The pizza was enough for two and my DGD shared that with me and had the mashed potatoes. We did not have the DDP this time but did get the DVC discount. I will be eating there again the next time we go. They had some huge salads that looked very good also. The Wolfgang Puck Cafe is at the Westside end of DTD and is a TS restaurant. We did not eat there but I believe that is where they have the pumpkin ravioli mentioned by someone else.

I loved the butternut squash soup so much I bought a food proscessor and got the recipe!!! Don't miss it.I've eaten there several times and have never been disapointed.

We've had...

Cheese Quesadilla
Mixed Baby Greens
Rosemary Rotisserie Chicken
Margherita Pizza
Linguini with Chicken Bolognese
Oven-Baked Lasagna

All items were equally delicious. WPE is definitley one of our favorite choices for Counter Service.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned their HEAVENLY baked macaroni and cheese. It is sooooooo good (and I'm sure full of lots of fat grams). I usually get a kids meal of mac 'n cheese, a drink and a cookie for ~ $5. It's a great deal. The cookies are big and delicious.

According to the 2007 lists BOTH of the WPE are on the dining plan.

We weren't on the dining plan when we went but here is what we got:
DD8 had chicken fingers and homemade potato chips...AWESOME
DS4 has pizza, which he swears was the best pizza ever. DD agreed.
DH had bbq chicken sandwich and some type of salad, it was excellent as well.
I had a chicken pesto sandwich and more of those homemade potato chips. It was so good. I thought about that sandwich for days after I got back home!

We were there in November with 8 people. In the process of ordering for the whole gang I noticed all the yummy items had chicken in it. So the cashier pointed out a countertop menu that they were trying out and it had about 5 beef dishes. Beef salad Focacia was just heavenly- a mountain of sliced roast beef tossed with mixed greens with blue cheese!!! all on top of a grilled pita type bread. Rosemary chicken was just ok, seems like you can get half a roast chicken anywhere in Disney.

We have had the french toast with cornflake batter and an omelette with spinach tomatoes and cheese (feta? and another kind). Three cheese omelette. We have also tried the belgian waffle with blueberries and strawberries. My girls had the three cheese pizza. My Husband had the Rotiserrie chicken (barbecue?). I had a huge vegetable and cheese wrap.

They are certainly one of the best CS places in WDW.

That beef salad focacia sounds so yammy! Thanks!

It was a couple of years ago when we went,we had the roast chicken, the ceasar salald and the BBQ chicken pizza. It was all very good, tasted fresh and hot (apart from the salad!).

It was really good value, we were not on the DDP, and would highly recommend it.

A few weeks ago DH had the Rosemary chicken, DSs had the pizza - loved it - DD and I shared the Cheese Ravoli and it was delish. Also, wonderful key lime pie and mango iced tea.

DS always gets the mac and cheese. He loves pizza, but wont' eat it there because of the chunks of tomato in the sauce. I love the butternut squash soup.

If I'm thinking correctly it's next door to Earl of Sandwich putting it about as far away as soemthing could be in DTD from Cirque..

Yep! That's true---almost opposite ends of DTD---but you can always take the boat.
