Ok so im trying to plan a vacation right ?.......So we decide on Disney......

The next thing you know my kids are coloring envelopes for mousekeeping ????? what is that ? they have mice there ?

And then im in Lowes Hardware the other day and she is looking at paint samples...I asked " what are you looking at those for ?" Im looking for a paint chip with mickey on it.....And im making you wear a greenie......What is all this about.....

I havent seen my wife in weeks she is too busy on this website....

ok ........ i guess i have to own up to it....... or him ......... this "BO" character is my DH!!!! and a comedian at that too ....... see i have been talking about planning a trip to disney for like 2 years now ..... and about a month ago i finaly did it .... actually.... my DH found this website for me as i was planning our trip.... so he only has himself to blame .... can you blame be for being excited??? we are leaving in 25 days!! i am also so excited for my kids DD 9 and DD 15 they are going to have the time of their life!! Actually i think he is also excited way deep down inside somewhere ........ vicki

"D" typically stands for Dear, or sometimes Disney (what else, on this site!?). So, DH is Dear Husband, DW=Dear Wife, DS=Dear Son, DD=Dear Daughter....You get the idea. There are myriad of these in use around here!

You think it is bad now, this board is like WDW Crack. My DW (Hopesmommy) cannot get off this board even though we went in Sept.

I don't even ask what she is doing anymore. I am beginning to think she has a grey square head that says HP in the middle - LOL.

my husband thought he lost me too - but the boards helped make our disney vacation "the best". I learned so much just surfing around. These disney experts taught me how to book the best room to meet my needs, how to use my time wisely, they shared tips on how to save money, how to get the best free sundaes in the world (& let me say they were awesome!) & I also hooked up with someone from Kentucky to go on the Illuminations cruise. WOW!!! All on one site. And no I do not work for this site. I would like to just say thanks to everyone because our kids first trip to disney was extremely magical & I enjoyed it more this time watching the awe on their faces. Blessings everyone. Kimberly

Bo may I introduce you to my DH... sounds like you two would really hit it off AND you would have plenty of time to do it in!! I think it's fantastic that you found this site for your DW... your going to have the time of your life because of it!! Have you made all of your ADR's yet?? that is what we are (ummm, I am) currently obsessing over and we leave in August!

I can beat those obsession stories.

We went in October, do not have a trip currently in the works (in my mind, yes, but nothing DH has agreed to yet) and I still burn supper on a regular basis.

But everytime we go, DH always says "You know, you really did a GREAT job planning all of this. How did you KNOW to tie a lime green bandana around our rented stroller so we would know it was ours in this sea of Disney strollers? How did you KNOW we would need to make those ADRs for the good restaurants 90 days out on the Dining Plan? How did you KNOW we could order a Cinderella Slipper Desert for DD when we ate dinner with Cinderella?

I just smile and say..."Well, remember all those burnt suppers? Weren't they totally worth it?"

So the Mousekeeping envelopes are just the tip of the iceberg, Man. We got lots more where that came from!

Hope ya have a great time! I think the planning is almost as fun as being there. Wait, no. Not by a longshot, but it is fun.

I have finally witnessed this in person! Just look at this...we have Hopesdaddy posting for the very first time! Hopesmommy, you are to be congratulated! You have done an amazing thing...you actually got your DH to register and post!

....(aside to Hopesdaddy)...you're a goner now, Hopesdaddy, kiss your former DisneyWorldless life goodbye...and get ready for your next seven vacations to...hellOOOOOOO...where else...???? (don't think so? talk to me in seven years)

OK, I have to say the same has happened to me. Many, many moons ago, my DW and I used to go to the beach, travel to different states, and plan a wide variety of activities. However, 4 children and a job at the Disney Store later (pre-sale of the store), we now average 3 trips to WDW per year. The kids plan on a regular basis, and they've now collaborated with my DW to schedule trips based on holidays. You think it's bad right now, just wait till after the trip! So far, we've stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Beach Club, PO French Quarter (2 times), PO Riverside (3 times), Caribbean Beach (2 times), All-Star Movies, and All-Star Music, and will be at the Caribbean at the first of March. Plans for Boardwalk in October are underway, and my DW stated yesterday that she would like to sneak away without the kids for a long weekend in July. There is no beach, no outside places, only WDW, an 11 -hour drive away. Just get used to it... your vacation world will soon be run by a mouse and his friends. Not that I'm complaining...

Well...this is so so funny! I laughed the whole time reading these posts. My DH would know better than to show me another website about WDW. I, like you disappear many times a day, and the paint chip thing sends my DH right over the edge. I made my tags and our next trip is quite a ways off, being around the DISboards at least gives me a bit of "the magic" while I wait for our next trip.

Just the other day, DH said to me.....how are you going to wait that long to go to WDW? I told him if he thought it was a problem he could take me sooner!!!!
