What has Disney removed that makes you the saddest?

I'm sorry I don't know how to cut and paste but .

I miss Brian the magic guy. He was usually at the Boardwalk, but we have seen him at DTD as well. He was so entertaining and really added to the magical atmosphere of Disney. So sad he is no longer part of the Boardwalks crew of entertainers.

I really miss Mr. Toad. My sister and I rode that over and over again as kids. We even took different cars and rode by ourselves! It was so fun.

I miss the original Snow White ride. Probably more for nostalgia. (It scared the life out of my then 4 year old daughter. She is now 20 and still remembers how the witch tried to kill her with the big boulder!):lmao:

I miss the days of spontaneous character meetings. We got the best pictures when the characters were roaming around and we by chance came across them.

Thank you so much!

I really miss Alien Encounter, Cranium Command and FoodRocks. I also miss the days when you could snag food reservations the morning you got to the parks.

I also dont remember the name but there was a flight ride in tomorrowland that was sponsored by Delta? The ride wasnt the greatest but i thought parts of it were neat.

And i really miss getting hot dogs at Pecos Bill. I almost cried when i went there a few years back and they offered me a chicken wrap instead :sad2:

  • Adventurer's Club (truly unique experience. all other clubs on PI, I could find something very similar just about anywhere - not the AC though)
  • E-ride Nights (best money ever spent at WDW)
  • Breakfast at Tony's (great food and setting)
  • The living statues in France

The ride sponsored by Delta was called If You Had Wings. Fun ride. We used to do it several times each trip. Simple, but family friendly and fun.
:thumbsup2

The living statures were awesome. I got some great pics of them!

I have a long list too:

Horizons
All of Wonders of Life but especially Cranium Command
Kitchen Kabaret (we still sing Veggie Fruit Fruit!!) that became Food Rocks
Original Journey into Imagination ride and the full pavilion
Fireworks Factory at Downtown Disney
Adventurers Club. Had to be a bar, drinking made it more fun. We had a great time in the Mask Room as well as the main room. Only saw the big show once because we didn't want to leave the main area.
Full Backstage Tour with the residential street
Animation Building being a working studio. We watched them draw Mulan.
MK had one show outside of Pinochio's, one in Mickey's Star/Birthday Land, one in Tomorrowland and one at the Castle.

I know Disney's always supposed to be changing. But I still miss things that are gone. Especially if the things that replace what's been removed are not that great... or if things were just removed without any replacement at all!

  • Spectromagic (love that music! The MSEP music... not magical for me.)
  • Adventurer's Club
  • The original Journey into Imagination w/ Dreamfinder (this is the attraction that cemented my fascination with Disney when I was a kid!)
  • Lights of Winter in Epcot
  • Live music (all over the place! It's been cut way back.)
  • Trees around the hub/castle with the twinkly lights. I love twinkly lights.

I miss the Disney "Magic" feeling when you walked into a park. Now the only feeling I get is "how can we get more money from every guest"?

I kinda agree with the above. I still totally feel the magic and love Disney, but the general undertone of "give us your money!!" is growing stronger...!

:sunny:

Ditto on Wonders of Life Pavilion and Horizons. I loved Cranium Command and Body Wars. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride was my favorite as a kid. Loved driving the car and the scary ending! Definitely miss the gondola ride from Tomorrowland to Fantasyland. I have ridden up front on a monorail and I'm sad that's not allowed anymore. Also, the new Imagination Pavilion really pales in comparison to the old one. I miss cold fried chicken at Aunt Polly's.

Delta Dreamflight - I can still remember the smell!
Mr. Toad
Snow White
Toon Town
Body Wars

I'm pretty sure Eastern Airlines sponsored If you Had Wings. When Delta took over sponsorship it was renamed Delta Dreamflight and the attraction was pretty much changed.

Rumor has it tink's friends have been removed. that would be sad.

This is true, and yes very sad!

We just met Tink & Rosetta last week in Adventureland.

Maybe they are rumored to be removed, but they are definitely still there as of last week.

I had no idea about not being permitted to watch the fireworks from the hotel beaches if you are not staying there. If this is true, how disappointing! What if you just finished eating dinner there? What if you are having dessert? I accept that you can't swim at other resorts, but I don't think this. I wonder if you can continue to book reservations at hotels you are not staying at?

Tink moved to Town Square this week. I'm still not sure if it's just her or what, but she's not in Adventureland anymore.

Oh, so we were one of the last people to see her? Neat. I guess that makes up for not getting to ride the SDMT. :)

NOT.
