Just thinking and reminiscing over the past few years and wondering what people would say. Here's mine-

Finally finishing college for my Bachelor's after 8 years of paying my way through, working 2 jobs and living on my own :goodvibes

Giving birth to DS1 on July 1st of 2005 at 7:39pm

What are you most proud of?

My graduate degree. I really struggled through some classes and I fought some major health issues in the midst of it. Even with having several surgeries and being homebound the majority of a semester, I still only got 1 semester behind and graduated with many of my friends anyways. It was so much harder then my undergraduate degree for some reason... though that may have been compounded by the health issues.

Mine is also going back to complete my Bachelor's degree and then getting my teaching certification, all as a single mother (my daughter is of course my best accomplishment!). Now this will be my second year teaching.

#1. Raising my children 17yo (and on the way to college :cool1: ) and 15 yo.

#2. Finishing my college degree 11 years, 5 colleges, and 2 careers after starting!

HS graduation. A lot of people didn't think I would, but I made it.

Being a parent. But I guess for most parents that would be their answer. :)

I know that standardized test scores aren't the only way to assess students, but I just found out that almost all of my students "kicked butt" on their TCAP test last year. 5 of my very lowest math students scored "Proficient" on their scores (after getting "not proficient" in the 6th grade). Also, one of my below average students scored "Advanced". I am SO proud of them, and would like to think that I had a little hand in their improvement, lol. I guess some of what I did got through.:)

Lori P. :)

Going back to school

Getting married and having our kids

Starting my own business

:thumbsup2

Wow, the replies on this thread have been great!! I would have to say my greatest accomplishment is my family. After that it would definately be publishing my first novel!

I have two that I cant really choose between. The first is that I actually stuck it out and finished my college degree with a good GPA even after my adviser told me to drop out.
THe second is that I survived the first 5 months of my DS life. THe birth was the easy part for me. BUt the nurse, pump,30 min rest cycle for 2 months and an average of 3 hours sleep was so hard. I was never happier than when he started to sleep through the night.

First and foremost, my marriage :)

Also, the fact that I was Jr. Miss Wheelchair TN when I was 18. It was quite an accomplishment and I feel like I got to do a lot of good things while I had the title.

Without a doubt, my family.... :thumbsup2

My marriage to my soul mate, still going strong after 42 yrs.

Having, raising, witnessing, our 4 wonderful children grow into adults, struggling to put them all through college and the many rewards reaped daily, now all w/careers, homes, loving spouses and families of their own. :sunny:

Being blessed with 12 sweet pride and joy grands (ages 6 wks.-18) who put a bright spot in each day. :cloud9:

'Our nest' in the country and always having an open door. :goodvibes

Finishing college was huge, but I got a bigger thrill singing a duet from a major work with my voice teacher with a full orchestra. Performing twice at Carnegie Hall is a close second.

If I ever have children, I'm sure they will take the top spots....:)

I had my girls when I was in high school, one when I was a sophomore and one when I was a junior. I never missed a day of class, except a 3 week maternity leave the school allowed me for each child. However, I still studied hard during those six weeks and turned in every test and assignment on time. I graduated HS on time and now I'm in college finishing up my BS in Political Science. It will be 4 years of nonstop school, 5 classes each summer, fall, and spring semester... I can't wait until it's all over!!! My LSAT is coming up, however, so it's not actually over yet... law school is next.

My heart goes out to you! Congrats on your hard work! My DH (who works 60 hour weeks at his job) is halfway through law school now and it has been an arduous journey that has required so many sacrifices. The end result will be worth it for us and you, too! Keep up the good work....:)

That I'll be graduating early from college in March with a BS in Social Science and a minor in Psychology. I just turned in my application for graduation a couple of weeks ago. :)

Raising my two beautiful daughters to be smart, compassionate young women.

Working hard at having a great marriage and in doing so being a role model for my two daughters.

But most of all..... overcoming a lifetime of depression and breaking a cycle of abuse that started with my grandmother. :sunny:
