What happens when fireworks start just before closing?

On our upcoming trip, I just learned that MK closes at 9pm but HEA starts at 8:55. So... what does that mean for the rest of the park? Do carts and shops close up when HEA begins?

If we want to be riding Dumbo during HEA, I assume that means it'll be our last attraction of the night. Is that right? Rides won't let anyone get in line when HEA is over?

Most shops stay open for at least an hour after the park closes.

You won't be able to get in lines for attractions after closing.

That has been my experience; fireworks start at 8:55 - the lines to the rides stop at 9PM. So yes, if you are in line or riding Dumbo between 8:55 and 9:15 when you get off all the lines to other rides will be closed.

If your ticker is accurate (putting your trip late August), watch the park calendar as the current 9pm closing could likely change to something later. No guarantees of course, but possible.

We did this...kids loved it...didn't get off until fireworks ended!
