I get it. Using a car to arrive prior to rope drop (or just avoiding early morning bus crowds) is very convenient for all the parks and costs nothing additional. Staying late at EPCOT may lead some folks to want to sleep late the next day and not need the car for early morning.
It is not a big deal to get the car after visiting EPCOT next day or using Disney transportation from another park later in the day. I don't see a need to pick it up first thing in the morning. There are plenty of ways someone may schedule their day in which this is not a big waste of time.
I don't drive if I've had one beer. I don't define that as drinking more than I should but would still leave a car if I had one in the parking lot.
