What happens to ADRs if you need to cancel the hotel?

We are taking an unplanned trip to WDW this June. We are staying at CSR and have all of our ADRs set. We are meeting my cousin and her family there. She keeps trying to get me to cancel our CSR reservation and stay off-site with them in their time share. She says that it will be much cheaper for all of us that way.

My question is if I cancel my CSR reservation and stay off-site, what happens to my ADRs? Do they get cancelled too? I told her that I will not switch if I have to make dining reservations all over again. Does anybody know how this would work?

Off-site guests don't have access to the +10 days when making ADRs, but if the OP has already made their ADRs, then nothing will happen when they cancel their resort reservation. I've had to do that in the past and none of my ADRs were cancelled when I cancelled my resort reservation.

Doesn't matter if the ADRs have already been made. If you have already made the ADRs, they are in the system regardless of what happens to your resort reservation.

Don't know if that will change when they perfect the new system.

Guests who wish to cancel altogether have to remember to cancel their ADRs too, or they'll be charged as a no-show for any meal they booked with a credit card hold.
