What Happens on a Disney Cruise, Stays on a Disney Cruise? Right? Complete! 4/3/07!

I'm definitely in the market for a replacement for my wonderful Olympus and a new underwater housing.

The chief reminded me that I could pull out the memory card on the old Kodak I have some vacation pictures trapped on. I will try to bring it to Target this weekend to get the pics put on a CD.

We are leaving the wilderness in August for Florida (or bust)! I have the 13th through the 16th booked at Coronado Springs Resort to celebrate my family's arrival in Florida.

In the meantime, a wonderful, sweet girlfriend and I are hitting Vegas NEXT week! It's a Mom's escape for four days including Elton John and "O" by Cirque du Solieil.

Excited?

We're flying and tempting UV rays by sunning by the resort pool.

and I have a plan to get the chief to FINALLY purchase our DVC timeshare during our September visit to Precious ( Mickey).....

So, upcoming... the Gluttons trek across the southern US to the World AND..... Mama Glutton hits Vegas without the Chief and the Munchkins for some naughty R & R.....

Kyle is my hero!:worship: I may just have to go check him out when I'm at the World in a few weeks. I'm so happy that he ended your trip on such a high note.

Thank you so much for your extremely entertaining TR. You had me on the edge of my seat and I'm sorry to see it end.

Thanks!

Kyle will forever be locked in my heart as an incredible representative of both my alma mater AND Disney.

Kyle is the best!

Thanks so much for sharing my adventure with me.

I can sincerely say... it changed my life!

Hey now, I'm offended! :lmao: :rotfl2: Maybe Orlando should keep him! We don't want him back!

Sorry Jennifer...

I know Ray is in Orlando because Massachusetts kicked him out!

No reflection on the wonderful state of Mass. Ray has been excommunicated!

Dear Mrs. Glutton,

Firstly, thank you for your and your family's countless sacrifices for your DH's service to our country. We live in the greatest country in the world (that's why they are sneaking in!) and you are a BIG reason for its spleandor.

Secondly, thank you for your unmercifully funny (and fun) trip report. I was right there with you every step of the way, even though I did not post. Not only was it fun to read (while tossing away two half-days of work), it was informative to the nth degree. I wrote notes...lots of notes...and changed my plans here and there as a direct result of your report. I hope you take that as the large compliment I intended for it to be.

Questions. (Exposing my ignorance.) What's a "bus bar", and, at the risk of receiving an embarrasing explaination, what is "body glide"? Also, I sat up straight when you mentioned ginger/bonine one week prior. Would you care to elaborate on this tactic? Is it more effective than Dramamine? My DW might benefit greatly from your nursely advice.

We Texans have to stick together, right?

You are a blessing.

May your Disney dreams be exceeded only by your Disney experience.

Hello there!!!

Thank you so much for treading my report!

The chief takes his military career very seriously indeed. He is in the throes of pending retirement and having some difficulty adjusting to the upcoming changes in his life. I think he'll do well in the civilian world as long as he keeps his sense of humor.

A bus bar is an extension cord with a set of (usually) about 6 plugs on the end of it and a cut off switch to stop/enable power on it. They usually run under $10atmoststore and can be found near the extension cords.

I've only heard rumors that dosing oneself with Ginger about a week before sailing (two tablets/servings three times daily)is supposed to help stave off sea sickness. The cuties and I don't suffer sea sickness and the chief won't pre medicate, so I have no personal knowledge of the efficacy of the pre treatment with ginger.

I actually LIKE the motion of a rolling ocean.

but then, I AM weird.

Body Glide is an amazing substance sold in athletic stores that (applied on the innards of thunder thighs) prevents chafing.

Hhhmmm.....

How would I know about thunder thighs?

Oh.... I could blame it on this VA nurse I came across.

Yeah... that's it. It's HER fault!:lmao:

WOW, that was so good! :worship: I'm going to have to read it again! :goodvibes I LOVE Kyle and I LOVE that your trip report ended on such a high note! :thumbsup2 Thanks for taking the time to make your trip report so interesting AND informative. ;) :)

Thanks for reading it Jessica!

I had the time of my life and still have a smile on my face two months later!

Wow! FANTASTIC report!
LOVED IT! When do you sail again????;)

Hi nenner1! We'll definitely be on the Oct 25th (2008) Magic but we're going to try to sneak another in before then after we settle in Florida.

We're going to the World in September too though!

Thanks for reading!

Gluttons, meet the Gluttons
They're the family from Big Sky Country...
They went
On a mouse trip
Mama Glutton was in her glory...
First, they went to sea with the Mouse,
Then, they visited his house.

Now, read it again, while humming the Flintsones theme song. Sorry its not longer.

Sean

Aww Sean! It's wonderful! Very fitting!

Thanks SO much!

$176, + incidentals, food & gas...WOW!

NO WAY!

KISS MY REAR RAY! (OR Mrs. Glutton's at least...):rotfl:

You go girl...great end!

Thanks princessjv (who has an outstanding trippie on the main trippie board)

I figure the savings just means more to spend on more vacations!!!

So you think Kyle is going to get tired of all of us going in and kissing his feet????? :worship: :cheer2: :worship:

You should write to Disney - yes it does work and commend both the CM at AK (not ray, but I would mention him, by name and the experience you had...) and Kyle!!! Perhaps it will get them listed in Eye and Ears... or something like that...

I did write a rather lengthy note to Disney commending Kyle, lambasting Ray, and praising the crew of the Wonder.

Haven't heard anything in reply, but it felt good to put it out here and in that letter!

(Hi Michelle!)

We must wait until DS is 5. He's a crazy tyke and would probably be the first kid to jump overboard! :sad2:

I have to agree with you there, Main Street DL is more quaint, and I think has much more detail that MK is lacking. JMHO. :goodvibes

Going there for my first time to celebrate my 35th birthday! :cool1:

Impressive! ;)
:lmao:

LOLOL Ssshhh! The chief tries to convince his airmen that he's a very old man... at 38.

Happy birthday!!!

Wow!! What a great trip report. Thank you for taking the time to write it.

I cried when I read the part about Kyle. What a great way to end your trip. You surely deserved compensation.

Thanks so much!

If I wasn't married, I'd have definitely pulled a Mrs Robinson on that cute Kyle.

Definitely!

LovableGlutton.....Do you know these people? Are they relatives? I found them roaming around on another thread!

2349wl24.jpg

Why yes!

Those are the non grass allergy side of the Glutton family.

We usually only see them at family reunions...in the middle of winter.

They're too green and leafy for our sinuses.

You know the phrase...

"You think its funny... but its snot..."

1.) :sad2: 'So sad that it's all over. Whatever will I do now?

2.) :goodvibes 'So glad that it all ended well and that Kyle/Shana saved the day (trip)!

:cool1: Loved the report AND the Flinstones/Gluttons song.
Happy (future) travels!

Thanks so much!

Kyle and Shana helped make the trip magical.

DISers like you helped make my memories of my trip magical!

Dear Mrs. Glutton,

Saying that your trip report was hilarious and extremely entertaining would not be doing it justice. Words cannot describe the hours of enjoyment (the laughter AND the tears) you have provided. I'm mostly a TR surfer/reader and rarely comment, but I felt compelled to thank you and profess my admiration. If you had a fan club, I would join it. If you wrote a book, I would read it.

Most Sincerely,

Lisa

Thanks so much Lisa!

You readers/posters definitely kept me motivated to keep this going! I could not have done it without you!

I am loving your TR and am only on page 15 but I have a couple of questions.

I noticed that it seems your cabin door opened right by the bed. That seems weird because all the other ships I have been on have a sort of entry way between the bathroom and the closets. Am I seeing things or is that the way it was?

Also, I would love to take the gift bags for the crew, what did you put in them?

Hi! The bed was about 6 feet in from the doorway. The bed was pretty much the first thing you encountered upon entering the room. It definitely was a nice arrangement though.

I put candy and candles in the gift bags.

Our servers and stateroom host deserved much more though. They were phenomenal!
