What happens if you've paid for your vacation and a discount becomes available?

I have a vacation booked for Aug 18-23 and there are currently no promotions. I plan on having this paid off in May or June. I'm hoping a discount becomes available during that week, if a promo does start, will Disney just refund money back to my credit card?

Yes. If a discount comes out that applies to your dates and there is availability at the resort you have booked, you can call and have the discount applied. A credit will then be made back to your cc. Just remember that you have to call to have it applied as Disney does not automatically apply discounts.
