I'd bet there were at least a few of these situations when the Disney ship could not pull into port last year. It'd be unlikely to have phone service to call and I'm not sure how well DCL did with helping out with this type of situation.

How can they book the same room twice on points? Isn't it the same reason why, when an owner exchanges out and their points are turned over to CRO for cash, they cannot be reclaimed by DVC and used for another points booking?
Traveling for the first time using DVC points and using the Magical Express
transportation. Not getting into MCO airport until after midnight - I would assume the resort would be aware of my late arrival already or would a phone call in advance be in order ?

I have arrived after midnight due to flight delays and had no problem with check-in. I have also called when delays caused all flight that night to be cancelled and had to fly out the next morning. In that situation they noted it in my reservation and check-in went ok.
Thank you - not arriving until August so the flights may change a few times.
Will wait until closer to the arrival and will be sure to contact the resort with the late arrival time expected.
Rented points from someone else and this is all new to me but learning alot through these forums !
