What happens if we're late for our Chef Mickey reservations

The only reservations I could make for Chef Mickey's is for the day we arrive in Orlando. Our flight arrives at 3:00pm & our dinner reservations are for 5:15pm. I'm a little concerned about making it to our resort to drop our luggage off & then making it to Chef Mickey's by our reservation time. My question is, what happens if we're late, like an hour late? Will they still seat us?

Not to be Debbie Downer, but I really don't think you will make it. Will you have a car? Which resort are you staying at? Unless you are staying at a monorail resort or will have a car, chances are very slim that you will make it. Magical Express typically takes 90 minutes to get you to your resort, then if you have to rely on Disney transport to get to the Contemporary.... Tack on another hour or so, depending on which resort you are staying at.

Restaurants will usually hold your table for 15 minutes after your ADR time. After that, if they can fit you it, you would be considered a walk up and could possibley wait 1-2 hours for a table. Also, did you make the reservation after the credit card guarantee went into effect? If so, you will be charged a $10 no show fee for each member of your party if you are late enough to be considered a no show.

not gonna happen.

Unless you rent a car and drive directly to the CR from the airport. Oh and you are on time, get off the plane quickly and your luggage gets unloaded quickly

Do yourself a favor and cancel this ADR. You won't make it, you'll be stressed trying to get there and this is no way to start your vacation.

If you made that reservation after October 26 and it carries a no-show fee, cancel it now. You probably won't make it, and you don't want to be charged. The only way you'll possibly make it is if you have a car or are staying at the Contemporary (and even that is a stretch if you are taking DME)

If you made the reservation earlier and you aren't going to incur a no-show fee, you can try, but if you are taking DME and Disney transportation from another resort you will be late for it and they may not seat you.

Ditto what everyone else said. Even allowing THREE hours after arrival for dinner is pushing Disney transportation to breaking point.

Add to that the no-show fee, and you have a recipe for disaster. To be honest, I wouldn't book ANY reservations on an arrival day. If your flight were to be delayed, you would get charged.

Consider either just attempting a walk-up or just doing counter service for that first night. In fact, I'm considering canceling ALL of my ADRs for our February trip because of the cancellation fee and just rolling the dice with walk-ups.

We are going to be coming from England this Dec, and will be getting the DDP. I am not planning on making any CC guaruntee restaurants for the first 2 days that we are there because if we get delayed because of the weather then the last thing I would want to worry about is cancelling ADR's in time. If this happened then of course I would try to cancel, but as others have said things happen!
