I'm already at my 8 max guest list for my site - Sunset Pointe.

What happens if F-SIL's girlfriend shows up despite her knowing it is over the amount of guests?

Am I going to be charged for that?
or
Will someone ask her to leave?

I really don't want drama at my wedding...but I just want to know what is going to happen if she happens to cause it.

ive never heard of DFTW asking someone to leave!?!

I would let the "crasher" know shes going at her own risk of being asked to leave or worse...PAY!!!

Haha...well...I'm sure she would just fork over the money :rolleyes1 sadly.

I thought I was compromising enough by allowing her to join us at the dinner afterwards...oh well

I have seen pix of weddings at Sunset Pointe with more than 10 people.... I also know that the other size-restricted venue, Wilderness Lodge's Sunrise Terrace, used to allow 15 people instead of 10, so the numbers they set seem kinda arbitrary.

I'm not saying everyone should flout the rules and bring extra people, but I do think you won't be penalized for having a wedding crasher you can't do anything about.

You might even mention it to your WP. I know mine would probably body-block any unwanted guest! :rotfl:

We are getting married at Sunset Pointe on Thursday. We only have a handful of people going to be there, but we were told my dftw that they could cancel our event with no refund if we show up with more people than the alloted amount.

Sorry, this is Dmslush, my daughter did not log out of the computer

Oh if that happened, heads would fly, well just the two people's that are causing this.

Thank you for letting me know this.

I would just give your coordinator a heads up that someone that is not invited has stated that they will just show up to the wedding, and you have advised them not to. Then let the coordinator handle it. That way they will know that it was not YOU that tried to get someone extra in.
